AndWhatElse, 10 December, 2008 at 16:10 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

Its such an exciting time deciding what to get everyone...

Had unexpected help from some spam on my website. Turns out the site has printable gift vouchers.

See even spam has its value!

Might help you too, here's the link

You're right, it's very exciting. I'm not going to click your blatently self-promoting link though. Compliments of the season.

A fresh pair of pants and a lump of coal. What are you getting AndWhatElse? Will you be using your fabulous vouchers?

This must actually be a spammer from the site itself as there isn't a referral code on the URL. Either that or the poster is spectacularly stupid. Ironically, the site contains the following text:

"Don't miss out on the best deals and discounts. It's Free, Ad Free and Spam Free! "

    What a shining endorsement.

But nothing says "I Love You" like a Dotty P's voucher printed off on your inkjet at 11.20 on Christmas morning...

Don't bother printing it, just email the link to everyone in your address book with a standard greeting. Much more meaningful IMO.

I am disappointed- I was hoping for an opportunity to quack on about all the things I want for Christmas but it's just some silly spam thing.

How could you resist a 'best price guaranteed' coupon for Hotel Chocolat?

I was hoping for a row around knowing what you are getting/it being a surprise (like I think we had last year).

Looks like troll-baiting will have to do. [sigh]

    Harumph:

"You have been banned for the following reason:

    No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never"

Their forums aren't quite so welcoming ?

I have actually used that site in the past and got my Mum a good sum off a new washing machine, but if this had been my first contact with the site I'd have avoided it like the plague!!!! Why don't people realise that not all publicity is good publicity?
