Bangers & mash! Autumn comfort food. No idea on starter and possibly a trio of dessert things - lemon syllabub, choc mousse, white choc cheesecake mini things.

We are having I think soup to start with, then a carvery. Which will be turkey and beef lots of veg and tatties. Then gravy, not looking forward to the gravy with ones dress so may pass on that or get a bib ?

Not sure on desert yet but only one.

    We are hoping to have

Smoked Haddock fishcakes with chilli sauce

roast beef or beer casserole with veg for main ccourse and summerfruit pudding for desert

    plus vegetarian options where needed.

When are you getting married as that might effect your decisions, we are having an autum wedding hence the slightly warmer more winter themed food

We're likely going for Veg soup for starters, a peppered beef main & then a trio desert. Nothings definite yet, but we both instantly agreed on the same things ?

I got married in Greece so slightly different, the starters and desserts were served med style with plates in the middle that people helped themselves to. It had (from my very bad memory)

    Starters

Pitta bread, cheese saganaki, dips, meatballs, vine leaves

    Main course choice from

    Chicken chargrilled on a skewer

    Lamb chargrilled on a skewer

    Beef (stew style)

(no one was vegetarian and I cant remember what the option was and these were served with a selection of fresh veg)

    Desserts

    Seasonal fruit salad

    Ice Cream

    Sponge wedding cake

We had rose and white wine as there were no red wine drinkers.

For our starter we are having breaded brie with a cranberry jus, then traditional roast beef with all the trimmings (I am having this but substituting the meat for nutloaf or veggie sausages ?)

Our dessert is white chocolate and lime cheesecake and then the coffee and mints.

Our venue has said that once we have seen if we have any special requirements etc, we can give them a list of what those people eat etc and they can pretty much have what they want and they will create something for them.
