What are your favourite dog names? Need inspiration

What type of dog and what colour is it? I'm thinking something like Tilly wouldn't be good for a male rottweiler!

It will be a male lab ? I wanted Hamlet but my H has said no ☹️

I have had Rocket and Dizzie.

I also know of: Cookie, Fizz, Monty, Button, Dan, Harvey, Penny, Cassie, Cloe, Widget, Enzo, Razz, Jasper, Berry, Charlie and Milly.

My boy dog is called Baxter.

I have an Indie (Indiana) and Mable. I also liked Friday for our dobe. I also know a Biscuit, Oscar, Taz, Leo, Drexel and a Jack.

If you like Shakespeare & Hamlet, how about my user name?! Or Guildenstein, Osric, Polonuis, Marcellus, Voltimand, Yorick (!) Reynaldo, Francisco, Fortinbras, Cornelius, Barnardo, Claudius, Laertes, Lucianus or Horatio?

And my black Cocker Spaniel is called Woody.

My pug's called The Moog. He was nearly a Dougal (Magoogle) or Dagobert.

I don't yet have a dog but when I do, I'd love to call him Baxter. I'd also like another one called Campbell...and maybe one called Heinz.

If I had a dog I would give it a proper name like Dave or John

My friend has just called hers Kevin, think he is a little lhasa apso

Ohhhh Moglie, did you see there have been some posts for you from Pickled Eggs? She was trying to get hold of you as she's emailed a few times I think.

Our JRT (girl) arrives in a few weeks and she'll be called "Tidy" (bit of a South Walian joke there, at home if things are good they are "Tidy" - you might have heard them say it on Gavin & Stacey if you've ever seen it)

I wanted to call it Jip or Dotty.

Love the idea of a "proper" name. Saw an ad for a lost cat once that read "Answers to the name of Graham" What about Colin?

Our dogs are called Riley & Bailey. I also like 'proper' names for animals. My neighbour's Boxer dog was called Bob.

My sister has a dog (JRT) called Vernon.

I know of Khan, Leo, Boris, Tanin, Sabre, Buttons for boy dogs

I rather like Deefer.

I think monkey fingers puppy called sprout is awesome but another idea is cashew which I have always loved!

One of my friends has a dog called Rafferty. I'm going to nick that if we ever get a dog. I also like Ptolemy (Tolly for short).

names I would potentially call a boy dog (although personally I would prefer to get a girl dog) are Spider, Zeus, Boris or Banger

We have a Rufus and a Dexter - although people do keep asking us if we named Dexter after the serial killer ?

There was a dog called Pliers in a book I read once. Whilst unusual, I thought it was quite cool.

My parents old cat was Ptolemy (Tolly), he was cool

Our dogs are Stella and Ed. Ed was Teddy in the rescue centre but as he's a massive German Shepherd Cross we thought the name didn't suit and Eddie or Ed whilst sounding the same so not to confuse him, is a bit more masculine!

Other male dogs I know or have known- Rebel, Charlie, Max, Bailey, Barney, Samson but I know more female dogs than male so not many new ideas there sorry!
