I used to horseride for 12 years or so. Desperate to get back into it but will have to lose weight first. At the moment, I bake cakes & cupcakes, occasionally paint/draw. I'm looking at taking up language lessons, knitting & sewing.
I bake but am a total amateur! That's it really, I did do ballroom dancing for a few months but the Saturday morning lessons after Friday nights out prooved too much to handle!
Me and Mr F are considering this....specifically french as he continuously thinks he knows it despite failing miserably...his latest sentence he keeps repeating is 'j'habite a la masion avec trois Jambon'..roughly translated as 'i live in a house with 3 hams'...he means 'Chambre' obvioulsy!!!
Hobbies...baking and setting up my own little bakery business so spending lots of time designing stationary and developing new recipies...
Cycling..me and Mr F have really got into it of late!
ETA - salsa dance lessons...did it for years then moved to london and gave it up......recently got back into it again!
I do love to cook, but its really bad for my health as i MUST obviously try all of what i cook and therefore will become a little fat chuffer. I am considering knitting a really bad taste Christmas jumper for myself and family members as i have wanted to do this for years (very sad i know ?).
Flow - do you have to do a business plan or is it just for family/friends?
I try to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, sometimes mess about with acrylic paints, read loads, on the waiting list for zumba, and I think OH bought me a bicycle for my bday so hopefully after next week I can add cycling to the list! I also really want to find a place to play badminton.
I do have a business plan on the go, but that wont be used until i properly set up..at the mo il start with a facebook business page until i get enough experience etc. Im doing stuff for weddings and birthdays and other 'occasions' for friends and family and friends of friends etc! the plan IS to practise and get a rep in the next year or so then when i have babies start it up proper ?
I read alot (not sure if that counts?) OH bought me a SLR camera so have gotten into photography. Would like to start going salsa or zumba but want to see if I can rope in a friend to come with me
I've always been interested in what's going on in the world, behind the scenes and in the celebrity world. When I was at college I used to keep a cutting's book and carried it on after I left. My interest has only increaseed with the internet and I have pages of things that I find interesting in my bookmarks. I have become friends with some fascinating people as a result. I am completely engrossed in the phonehacking scandal at the moment and am loving watching it unfold (not the death of the whistleblower obviously) and wondering what is going to happen next.
Tell me about it! I have started asking for gear for birthdays and Christmas. Mr RB is getting me an 85mm for my birthday (just bought it from ebay). I'd really like the 50mm as well, but may have to wait until Christmas.
Ebay is a good shout for second hand glass, although a lot of it holds it's value so it isn't a huge amount cheaper.
Horses mainly! I've ridden since I was tiny and owned my own pony since I was about 8. My mum is very horsy too so it's something we share which I love.
Would love to have a little girl so I can pass it on!
I also got to Zumba once a week which I really enjoy. I used to go to street dance classes too!
I love ebay for my photo gear - I've picked up some good stuff from there.
I'm after the Sigma 50-500mm but even second hand it's expensive, but I've found a company which will allow me to hire it for my honeymoon (there's a seal colony near our caravan and I want a decent focal length so I don't scare them) and a Lee Big Stopper (I love 'fluffy' water photos).
I have sold a couple of my photos as canvases to try to recoup the cost of my gear. It makes OH happier that way!
The only real hobby I have is singing in a band. Though I count my rats as a hobby as I spend a lot of time with them, learning about them and talking to/seeing other rataholics lol!
Where should I start with camera equipment girls? Be aware that I am currently a complete noob to photography... apart from my point and click digital!!
Oh I also play netball! Had to take last season off but back to it in September! its a really good hobby as it keeps you fit and you make some great friends and have wicked socials!
My hobbies are cricket (mainly watching but I'm going to start playing again), reading, cooking and sailing. I'm hoping to start an OU degree this Autumn too.
Oh that's excellent Fruitbat. Where do you sell them?
Mrs C, I started out with an entry level Nikon, the D3000. It came with a kit lens and everything else I need as a beginner. It also had an on screen guide that was really useful to start bridging the gap between auto modes and manual modes.
