Looks good. I think ours will be:

    morning: getting ready at home

    1.30: bride & groom & kids pics

    2.30: cab to registry office

    3:00pm: ceremony

    3.45: cabs to reception

    4.00: drinks, canapés, speeches, photos

    5.30: meal

    7.30: cut cake

    8pm: first dance

    9.30: cheeseboards, cake

    12: end

and then: a select few off to a bar down the road for more partying

Because we are going in to the ceremony together we are having photos beforehand so we can make the most of the time with our guests.

You really haven't left much time for you and OH to have a drink and relax with guests before the wedding breakfast, it sounds like all photos to me, plus quite a lot of travelling around time. Is there any way to cut that down? Do you really need half an hour of photos at the church plus extra time for photos with guests at the reception venue?

Hopefully we'll sneek in some time for us to relax after our photos.Unfortunately

u the church is very small so not enough room for group photos which is why the majority will be at the reception venue. I need to talk to my photographer to confirm exact timings

On yours, are you doing receiving line at the church after ceremony? That might delay your plans for only 30 minutes for pics there?

How far are you from chruch to reception venue? Are you serving drinks/food to your guests or letting them know what time you're getting there? It is quite a long time (1:45) for the guests to wait for you to arrive, so might be nice to keep them fed and with drinks?

Also, do your eve guests know about the 1st dance at 8? In case they don't know and might miss it if they are late Smiley winking

    Here is ours!

    15:00 Wedding ceremony commences.
15:30 Bride and groom retire for Photos/ Canapes and drinks served to guests
17:00 The Wedding Breakfast is served.
    18:30 Speeches
    18:45 Music starts
    19:45 Cutting of the Cake.
    20:00 The First Dance.
    21:00 Evening buffet served.
23:30 Drinks and Bar Service Licence ends. Dancing and Music draw to a close.
    23:30 Guests start to depart.
    00:00 Curfew

    Hope it helps!

You seem to be leaving your guests alone for a very long time for B&G photos. What are they meant to do during that time?

So far this is a very rough draft with the only set times so far being the ceremony.

9.30am - BMs, MOB and Me start getting ready (hair, make-up etc.)

12noon - maybe have something small to eat (room service!)

    2.15 set off for ceremony

    3pm - ceremony begins

3.30 - End of ceremony/beginning of photographs (both B&G and group) and canapés'/drinks

    4.30/45 - wedding breakfast begins

7.30pm - Evening guests start to arrive

Midnight - Taxis/minibuses start arriving for people.

Sounds sensible Smiley smile Only thought is that there seems to be a lot of time allocated for photos... will you have enough time to spend with your guests? Your photographer can always aim to get some reportage style photos of you with your guests as opposed to 45 minutes of posed shots (if you like that style) perhaps? Have you got something to keep your guests happy whilst you are away having couple photos too?

My timings go a little like this ... there will be some tweeking along the line.

    7.30 - 10.00 - Hair at mums house

**** - travel to venue with BMs and parents

11.00-2.00 - check hotel setting out, get ready.

    2.00 - Ceremony begins

    2.30 - 4.30 - Reception drinks / group photographs / B&G photographs.

4.30 - Sit down for wedding breakfast (no receiving line)

    4.30 - 6.45 - Dinner & speeches

    7.00 - Evening guests arriving

7.30 - Cutting of the cake / first dance

    12.00 - Finish

My photographer advised 1hr for group photographs and 30 minutes for B&G photographs, meaning we would get 30 minutes with guests at reception drinks. I think an hour for group photographs might be too long though? Dont want people getting bored or us away from people for too long.

Also this would mean sitting down for dinner earlier as i am not sure that 2hrs 15mins is long enough for dinner / speeches?? Anyone have any input?

I am meeting with the coordinator on Friday so will get a clearer picture then.

    I think mine will be:

Morning - get ready at parent's house

12:55 - leave for venue (literally 2 mins drive!)

    13:00 - ceremony

    13:30/40 - post-ceremony drinks, photos etc

    15:00 - wedding breakfast

    17:00 - speeches

18:00 - 19:30 - post wedding breakfast drinks and mingling, hopefully more photos too

19:30 - midnight - evening reception, including 2 x 1 hour sets by our band then DJing, and buffet

Midnight - back to our bridal suite! Champagne and cake, opening cards/presents, etc ?

Not sure when to do the cutting of the cake actually? Might fit it in the 15:00 - 17:00 slot.
