What are your wedding colours?

laurafish, 15 January, 2015 at 09:34 Posted on Planning 0 55

Not really looking for any advice here, just wanted to get a conversation going Smiley smile

Thought it would be interesting to see if most of us do have set colour schemes, and if there are any colours that are most popular!

No colour scheme at all for us. If we do have to buy anything in certain colours, it tends to be dark grey, or bronze/coppers/golds if it's an option.

I'd be interested to see which colours will be popular this year though! We always have a bet amongst ourselves regarding upcoming wedding trends ?

Ours started off as hot pink, then my auntie copied us so we added some navy but now it's ended up as just a whole range of different pinks with accents of white and silver

I couldn't decide on a colour or a theme. So I said everything should jsut be pastel colours, but loads of different ones, that evolved into a Country Fair theme. My bridesmaids will be in mint green with baby pink accessories though.

Ribbon wise, our most popular colours are cream, silver and navy blue. We have had some fab combinations though, orange and fuchsia pink was one of our favourites! Such a beautiful pairing that you wouldn't normally put together (well, I wouldn't anyway!)

I always think silvers, whites, and creams look good during the winter months and then bright, bold colours in the summer!

I wouldn't say we have a set colour scheme, but so far it has evolved to sage green, champagne and gold colours. Might add in a bit of pale blue as it's H2B's fave colour and would look fab as a cravat colour!

We have ended up with a mix of pinks and silver. Kilt that H2B, Best man and our son will be wearing is a mix of dark and light grey with a raspberry pink through it, BM's are in 3 different colours though - 1 is in a vintage pink, 1 is in silver and the other is in a pale lilac/silver coloured dress (hard to describe), so have made invites / centrepieces ect to all tie in with pink and silver with lots of sparkle! Wasn't going for a theme but it all seems very vintagey/classic/sparkley theme LoL xx

Shades of Ivory, pink/ dusky pink, eau de nil, silver, crystal, floral vintage rose and peonies, a bit of a mish mash in the end really but I think it'll be ok.
