What Christmas TV are you looking forward to?

Is there anything in particular you really want to see or have set up to be recorded? I haven't even checked the TV guide yet but really need to soon. The one thing I have seen is The Snowman on Christmas Eve. I always loved watching it as a child and am planning on sitting watching it with G.

Just seen an advert for Justin Lee Collins - Bring Back Fame. So that's added to my list!

This annoys me too but I usually just sing the CfC descants anyway, H tends to leave the room at that point?

    Gavin and Stacey
    Royle Family

What is the Take That thingy?
Thanks to this thread will also be looking out for Carols.

Since this is my chance to catch up on English tv, I've also set the Sky+ to record every Property Ladder episode on More4. Yeah!

    Ooh, how fantastic!

Is there anything that's particularly "his", so I can look smugly at my mother and tell her that I "know" someone who's husband animated the dough/motor bike/Gromit's left eyebrow/Wallace's right trouser leg?

Been enjoying Crooked House (first thing I've seen on the TV in HD) - last part tonight

Tell your husband he's fab LOL. I loved it, but then I love all W&G stuff. I love the attention to detail even in the background bits - my favourite bit was

    *slightly cryptic spoiler*

the items in the bin - in particular the pink and white one! I was so ridiculously excited to see it there.

It was called Take That Come To Town and was on a week or so ago and I missed it, but I noticed it is repeated on ITV2 or 3 a couple of times so I hope to catch it then.

I had the joy of being rehearsed by Stephen Cleobury once, and he was a miserable old bastard with a visible vest and a too-tight stripy shirt. And sweaty hair. So I watch it with a sense of admiration for what he achieves and mild sympathy for any back-of-the-second-row trebles who aren't his favourites. Having said that I used to REALLY fancy one of the basses when I was 16 who was in it up until a few *cough* years ago. He ate all the pies when I was 18 and it didn't put me off him. I watch it with wistfulness and wish I still had chance to sing. If you like sacred music it's hard to pin down a really good choir round here. And even dodgy ones seem to do a nasty line in Sinatra medleys. What's wrong with Palestrina, you losers??

    Rant over...
