What colour nail varnish?

Does anybody have any suggestions for a nice mid-pink nail varnish? I want something which has a pop of colour, but which isn't mega bright. Any suggestions? I find that most shades are either too bright or light enough that your nail whites show through which I want to avoid.

I kind of want something between these 2 (the paler one comes out much paler IRL):



Any suggestions? What is everybody else wearing?

    The ones where the nail white shows through, can't you do a few coats if you like the colour?

    You'll need a creamy colour so the nail doesn't show through.

    MAC, OPI and Essie are brands I would look into...personally I think Chanel nail varnishes are not that great, although the colours are lovely.

    I love Nails Inc.'s South Molton Street - great colour and never had it chip.

    Opi have some fab colours. I had a coral for my wedding but bought a mid pink for my honeymoon too. They have a fab selection.
