What colour of bouquet?

RomanticBlueCakes716, 15 July, 2017 at 22:38 Posted on Planning 0 7

I'm getting fake flowers and am a bit unsure on the colours to go for. Is a bridal bouquet typically ivory? Most pictures I see seem to have this, but I think it's so dull with an ivory dress! I'm thinking ivory and gold for bouquets and ivory butten holes, with green ties to match the bridesmaid dresses, does this sound like it would all tie in?

Bridal bouquets definitely don't have to be ivory! You can go with whatever you want using your colour scheme. As you're using artificial flowers you don't even have to worry about using flowers that are in season. What you've described sounds lovely, very classy; you could add in some artificial foliage to the bouquets to get a touch of green in there to go with the BM dresses?

My bouquet is going to have the closest I can find to black so no ivory isn't a must x

The colours you have chosen sound very subtle and classy, also if you find flowers you like as they're fabric you can spray paint them the colours you want. I'm doing that with some table centres.

I think they can be any colour! I had a pure foliage bouquet (it was made of herbs) so it was different shades of green.

Have you thought about the shape you're having? I think the little round ones look nice in solid colours (ivory and gold would look lush), but a hand tied one I think would need a bit of greenery to 'fluff' it out some more. Also if you want a bit of bling you can get pins with crystals on the end, push it into the flower stem (head?) and it'll have a bit of sparkle!

My bouquet was a mixture of bright pinks, purples, yellows, coral, peach... it was amazing! Go for whatever you like the look of, pick out the green of your BM dresses if you like but defo don't be afraid of colour if it's what you want to do!

Bouquets can be anything you like! I'm having a wand instead, of a bouquet and my flowers are red and purple.

Your colours sound very sophisticated, so if you're happy do it!

That bouquet is beautiful! I am.getting a bouquet with the sparkly pins and bits on it for extra sparkle. My sisters have suggested petrol green to match the bridesmaid and gold. Nice to see others with a bit of colour! I just think ivory bouquets against an ivory dress is a bit boring..
