What colour scheme is everyone having?

sherbert, 13 May, 2009 at 08:03 Posted on Planning 0 46

Help! I need some inspiration. I was always going to have sage green but now I'm having second thoughts.

Oh. Erm, we're having sage green so that probably doesn't help you!

    When is the wedding?

It's september 2010. I really love the colour but after reading loads of wedding mags recently I've realised that there are so many other options.

I'm having champagne, creams and a touch of soft peach here and there. I'd like the bridesmaids dresses in champagne and my florist has shown me this gorgeous light peach coloured flower that I want to factor into our bouquets and table centrepieces, etc, along with lots of creams, off-whites and green foliage.

Thanks Ooh La La! Think my florist is going to make a few samples for me ready for when she does a wedding fair later this year so I'll have to remember to take some pics and post them.

After changing my mind five thousand times, we are having a cornflower type light blue and silvers, maybe antique pink bouquets but not decided on that yet.

We were going to have Red and Ivory but we changed our minds and am now having Chocolate Brown and Creams. We are having hand made chocolate truffles for our favours and our wedding cake is also chocolate.

Hope you find the right colour scheme for you and your H2B

Claret, ivory, dusky pink and silver.

If I could plan my wedding again I'd go for aqua.

I was thinking ivory, antique gold with lots of different pinks - but after reading the "What I hate about Weddings" post, maybe pink isn't the best choice?!

Originally we were going to go for a spring wedding and have yellow daffodils with green everything else, until my BM (who works for macmillan) said it would be a bit macmillan-meets-marie-curie! But now we're getting married in June so daffs aren't an option anyway.

Sage green is a lovely colour. Is there any colour scheme to your venue which you could match?

Blue - definitely a dark blue and maybe a peacock blue too. Then ivory and silver as well in places.

I'm getting married in September 2010 too!

Our colour scheme is dark purple (think Cadburys purple), ivory, and silver. Bridemsaids dresses will be dark purple, H2B's kilt is purple, blue, and black, flowers will be different shades of purple and cream.

Please don't let that put you off. That is why those posts are sometimes not good - some people take them personally.

If you want it then have it. It will look nice ?
