What colour scheme/theme are you having?

Pink Han-bag, 24 March, 2012 at 11:11 Posted on Planning 0 30

We're provisionally booked for 30th March 2013, just need to find the balls to actually pay some money ?

I have a sapphire and diamond wedding ring, and along with my OH's football colours being blue and white we were thinking of going for dark/navy/midnight/cobalt blue colour scheme but I'm wondering what other colours would tie in for flowers etc and if it's not a bit dark for spring. We're getting married in a lovely countryside setting but the venue is quite newly renovated so looks more modern.

That's the ceremony/wedding breakfast room.

So anyway I'm trying to think of themes/colour schemes and would love inspiration, OH is happy as long as I'm happy which isn't particularly helpful.

We are getting married 15th June 2013 and we are also having Dark Navy or maybe Royal blue as my OH supports Sheffield Wednesday and we want to combine those colours. Not sure yet whether to combine yellow into the table decorations or just stick with Ivory.

We're getting married in May and having a black and white theme, with bits of purple. I didn't even think about whether it would be too dark for spring, it's just what we liked!

I love the dark blue and pink together though.

Dusky pink or green colour would look nice. How about Ivory and silver to go with the blue? Have a look on google at different colours, that's what I do, some good ideas. So you went to have a look and booked it then? X

Some colour schemes I have made bouquets in for have been

Royal Blue & Fuschia with a splattering of other bright colours (yellow / green) and pearls

    Royal Blue & Sunshine Yellow

    Navy Blue, Silver & Ivory

Bright Blue and Bright Red (not for the faint hearted lol) with hints of gold

Navy Blue, Emerald Green, Gold & Ivory.

Some pics which may help: I know you are having flowers but you can see how the colour work together. If you want to see any more pics of the other ones I mentioned, please contact me as don't want to post loads Smiley smile

Hello, my colour scheme is hopefully going to be: peacock blue (bridesmaids, chair sashes, table runners etc), bright purple and touches of lime green. My dress is white. The lime green may sound awful but it will be in my bouquet as hypericum berries.

Check out the blog on Modern Petals, some lovely colour combinations on there: http://www.modernpetals.com/BlogRetrieve.aspx?BlogID=7103

We are also having royal blue, and ivory, we are very far into planning and have got alot of things alreay, so adding another colour may be difficult, but if I was to add another colour it would be yellow or silver.xx

Looking at everyone's colours has made me think i need to add another colour in - the bridesmaids are going to be in royal blue (hopefully) and my dress is white.... would it look strange if we had sunflowers in the bouquets but no yellow anywhere else? We're not having flowers on the tables so couldn't get it in there and i don't really know how else we could incorporate it?

We are getting married in the Spring, and not having a colour scheme. I am aiming for a 'white' wedding, so flowers are all white I think, centre pieces mostly white with maybe the odd bit of pink blossom. I am not going to match anything really, just make sure it is all tonal and co-ordinating...not decided on BM dresses yet, thinking floral maybe? Or just a pale pink/nude colour....

I was looking at a peacock theme, but went looking at bridesmaid dresses and both girls suited the navy well, so not sure now.. need to have another look round and find some purple or teal BM dresses before deciding on everything else

We're getting married in September and our colours are red, white and blue. We're hoping after the Jubilee and Olympics we'll be able to get cheap bunting etc!

The theme is quite mismatched, but very fun. It will be 50s seaside wedding with a good helping of comic book/film geekiness! Our cake is going to be Bag End - I can't wait!

Firstly, I'm really sorry for posting this and only just replying, I've had a busy weekend and been away from home so not had chance to get online properly.

I'm just reading through all your ideas, they're fab! I think I might put to OH the idea of some pink as it really is my favourite colour (look at my username!) but not sure what shade, he got me some flowers with cherry blossoms in which are just so pretty.
