Just looking for inspiration really - I am 30 in a few weeks and am being asked from all corners what I want but I am a bit stuck for inspiration. Just wondering if anyone would care to share what was on their birthday wishlist? Thanks!

B2B took me to Paris for my 30th - and tickets to the Moulin Rouge...was brilliant, although she didnt realise the dancers would all have their boobies out! Worked for me though ?

Her parents got us both (her birthday is near mine) the hotel - was between a strip show and a s e x shop! But was close to the Moulin Rouge! Hilarious when we showed them photos!

I got a wedding - well it was 5 days later but still... ?

    Can't remember what I gave H and he's only 31 ?

We're hoping to have a week in a cottage to celebrate my sister's 30th though?

I don't know... ask me next month (sob!)

But actually, and I'm not being twee in saying this, I really don't want anything at all. Having been so ill over Christmas and seeing what the current financial climate is doing to some of my nearest and dearest all I want is the people around me that I love and care about.

    And wine, obviously.

A cartier watch - which was a complete surprise and very gratefully received - especially as Mr SC is usually so very poor when it comes to choosing presents!

I got a surprise holiday to Vienna (and lots of shopping at the christmas market!) for my 30th. H organised it all and D stayed at my mums so it was lovely to have time with just the two of us.

My friend got a Pandora charm bracelet for her 30th

    My 30th was very eventful!

My son was born, my ex-husband almost died in a motorcycle accident, my daughter was in hospital for a week with an irritable hip in traction.

My 30th was so crap I cant even remember what gifts i was given (except of course for my baby son)?

A trip to NYC for New Year and some Mikimoto jewellery - I also used the excuse of my birthday to justify buying lots of nice things throughout the year.

It was my 30th yesterday!! ?

My mum bought me a Rado watch and my H bought me a Maggie handbag in the raspberry leather and a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes plus an outfit of my choice (I need to find the energy to go shopping). My best friends are taking me to Berlin for the weekend in a couple of weeks.

Blimey, can't really remember. For my 29th (May 2002) I got an engagement ring, and my 30 birthday was 3 months before we moved into our new house and 6 months before our wedding, so I didn't have a big party. We went away to Corfu a couple of weeks after my birthday. the actual day was on a Sunday. I remember going for a meal with H (them still my fiance), mom and dad and MIL and FIL to be. Then OH took me to our favourite country pub and I got very drunk on Damson and sloe counrty wine and maltesers (the latter not being alcoholic, just a drunken post meal nibble!) Presnet wise, i haven't a scooby doo!

I don't know yet as it's my 30th in Apr this year.

For my 29th though I got a colour analyasis day. It looks at what colours suit your skin tone etc. They tell you what season you are and then out of that season how well each of the colours suit you. So there are some colurs I can wear head to foot and look good and others that I can only wear as a handbag or shoes. Since having it done I haven't looked back. Having the right colours on makes such a difference to how you look. Before having it done people were always saying ooh Aimee you look tired/pale/ill are you ok (when I thought I looked alright that day) since having it done not one person has said that instead I get loads of compliments. Once having your colours done they don't change for the rest of your life and it certainly makes shopping easier.

So for my OH 40th bday this year I've got him the Men's colour and image day and 4 of my friends are having their colours done.

    Enough rambling from me.

I had a day on an airfield driving a Ferrari, Porsche, Subaru Impreza, Audi RS4 and Lotus Elise. I asked for it, it was amazing and I'd love to do something similar again maybe on a track.
