I went for smart casual as I didn't want to look too over the top! For me that was smart dark jeans, a pink blazer and just some flat pumps. Just go with what you feel comfortable in and be yourself.

Few tips we give to our couples:

    - Wear something comfortable, something you feel good in. The best photos are the ones where the couple looks and feels like themselves so don't over-think it Smiley smile

    - Try to look like you're going to the same place, so the outfit styles match.

    - Remember that the photographer is trying to photograph you, so be yourself. Dress nice, but don't get so dressed up that you are uncomfortable.

    Hope this helps Smiley smile

We wanted to look quite natural, so went with outfits that worked with the scenery (forest / woodlands). Also wanted to be a little smart, i went with a dress in dark blue (suits my colouring) and boots (everyone who knows me knows of my love for boots!) with a patterned scarf, OH went for jeans and a smart jumper. Definitely wear something you're comfortable in, makes a huge difference. We tried to visualise how we wanted our pics to look and went from there.

I changed mid shoot as my shoes were killing my hip, but we tried to dress up a bit. not ott, but floral dress for me and kinda.....nice party attire for him.

my thinking was, you hold yourself differently when you're dressed up so i didn't want to get used to taking photo's in one way, only for the wedding day to be completely different.

and for us it worked really well. the way i am in jeans, the photo's would have looked awful as i hold myself terribly, but dressing up a little meant that i held myself better and there was correlation between the engagement and wedding pics

If your engagement session will take 2-3 hours, be creative with your dressing! Take 2 outfits so you can swap easily!

I always tell to my couples to be sure that the dressing will reflect their personalities and always stay comfortable with what they wearing.

I then take quite few different style of photographs so they can see themselves with the same outfit at least in 3 different ways and pick their favourite one Smiley smile

Ps: If you are going to windy place, make sure you got something tight on you otherwise you will stress about it instead of enjoying the moment.

    Best of luck! Smiley smile
