What do I want for Christmas?

AmnesiaCustard, 19 November, 2013 at 10:33 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 21

Suggestions please, because I genuinely don't know and my H wants to know!

I don't like gadgets or booze.

I do like jewellery.

He won't buy me handbags or shoes or clothes.

I don't NEED anything.

Jewellery, perfume, new books, a piece of art - something personalised for you and him?

Perhaps he can book a weekend away for you both? A Spa trip? a lovely meal somewhere posh?

I can't help. I've asked for an iPod.

The only thing I have asked for is tickets to see The Commitments.

Don't really have a fave brand of smellies and my fave perfume is discontinued. See, I'm hopeless like that.

Good suggestions though (not you, Pompey!) - keep 'em coming. Thank you.

What about a perfume making day to try and re-create your discontinued one?

When I don't need anything I like more experience type gifts - cookery course, fancy meal, spa session, exhibition/festival tickets etc. Is there something else like that you might want?

I like baking and cooking - a voucher to a class would be great.

We've still not used up our "go up the Shard and then have lunch" voucher from our wedding anniversary! Better get to it. (In our defence, we have had such a crappy year we haven't felt much like it)

Ha ha...this would be my idea of absolute hell. I hate cooking. I like eating though.

Thank goodness we are all different.

Tiffany do a charm bracelet. Then you'd be sorted for gifts for many years to come!

Might have to be an actual booking not a voucher then! I'm the same - takes me till the week before a voucher runs out then I'm scrabbling to fit it in ? - doesn't help when you've got crappy stuff going on too - hope things get better ?

I'm in the same boat AC, I've no idea what I want! Unfortunately I don't think Santa can fit a registrar training job in a suitable location, combined with a suitable new job for H, into my stocking!

It depends on budget, how about a voucher for a spa place so you can pamper yourself, or a day out together, or a weekend away? Failing that, my fall back idea for my OH is always something sparkly, I love jewellery.

    I agree with experience presents!

Or a weekend away for the both of you, or a Michelin star restaurant dinner, seeing you like eating? Smiley smile

Or are you looking for "stuff" ?

I've asked for a nice box/case thingy to keep my crochet stuff, assorted baking paraphernalia, a bag for my camera. I'm actually a bit lost about what I want, I just tend to suggest stuff to H as and when it occurs to me and he keeps a note on his phone! I know he wants a new pair of jeans, a coffee grinder and some Iron Maiden "Trooper" beer. He's a simple bloke.

    How about books?

That's always my go to gift if OH asks.
