What do I wear on my head

24 June, 2012 at 17:03 Posted on Planning 0 8

HELP I'm 47years old getting married in 17 weeks in a beautiful Maggie Sottani wedding dress with just a little diamanti detail, but have no idea what to put in my hair. I am thinking of having my hair in a up do very structured but feel a little old for a tiara or side tiara. Has anyone any ideas I'm beginning to panic. xx

Hi, i certainly dont think you are too old for a classy side tiara, how about a rhinestone and flower comb or a vintage band, i have many in my shop if you would like a quick browse.

Don't panic! You can wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing :-)

If you don't want to wear anything...then you don't have to either. The decision is all yours!

If you do want some ideas though, please feel free to have a nose at my website: https://www.katievaledesigns.com/

    Thanks

I was searching for a tiara for myself and came across some really pretty hair combs, I'm thinking about them for my BM's but maybe if you don't feel comfortable in a tiara they might look the part.

These are from Bridal Gems, but there's loads of places you can buy them.

    Hope this helps

If you are wanting something a little more understated than a tiara or side tiara, then a band can be a great compromise as you still get the tiara style look with the detail at the front but more low key, but just as beautiful.

Here's an example of the Glamour Puss Deluxe band being worn with an up do http://www.louloubelle.co.uk/tiaras_bands_bands.html

There are lots more ideas on my website www.louloubelle.co.uk - please feel free to email me on ****@***********.**.** if you'd like to go through any options.

I would say that you don't need to wear anything but if you do decide to maybe just some hair spirals or a small headband

What about a nice comb or hair pins?

    Hi,

You just need to have a look around and see what feels right. I have some simple and classic accessories on my site. Here are a few suggestions but feel free to have a look:

Kitty hair pin - 3 of these pins could be woven into your hairstyle and accompanied by Dana crystal pins.

Feel free to have a look on my site: www.simplysilverbridalprom.com

    All the best,

    Rebecca

Definitely not too old. I have just made this for a 59 year old bride.
