What do people think on the following colour choice...?

MrsF2Bee, 30 March, 2013 at 21:46 Posted on Planning 0 28

Champagne/latte/nougat kind of colours.

Too boring, nice, add a littl colour?

Bearing in mind we don't want blue or girly colours. Xx

p.s. any colour flashes?

This is the colour scheme I have chosen athough my bridesmaid is in pale pink. Groom, FOB and BM all in dark brown suits with ivory waistcoats and coffee coloured cravats. I'm wearing pale gold shoes and it all goes together really well.

I'm going for ivory/champagne with just a kiss of pale pink (very reluctantly but the BMs had their hearts on some pink/ivory frocks). Asides the BMs dresses and a few pink roses (cos of that colour thing you know, tying it all in, blah!) no pink! I didn't want it to feel girly, I wanted it to feel soft and dreamy and DEFINITELY didn't want the men to be wearing anything pink! Ivory, champagne and candles all the way!!

I hate pink so no pink, at least I hope not.

I love the idea of candles (fits in the theme) but venue say no naked candles. X

Hi Hun this is my collage I put together for our wedding which is the same colour choice I was leaning to adding a little mint green but I think the natural colours speak for themselves.

I was very reluctant to add a third colour (especially pink!) but I was met with a stern telling off from H2B and MOTB so I had to roll with it in the end.

You could consider the LED candles? Though they look pretty cr&p in my opinion. Our reception is in a local social club with a ballroom so they've been quite flexible about our decor, but if you've got a hotel or something they might not be! You could also opt for some warm yellow fairy lights? Not to twinkle or anything like that, but through organza it might add some soft light maybe?

For the wedding breakfast bothered are fairy lights behind a screen, maybe candles would be too much for the night anyway. We are allows if covered I think xx

I'm having mainly ivory everything lol but my bm's are in blue dresses and a few blue flowers in my bouquet, thats it. Im having birdcages with a pillar candle in them, pearls either loose in the bottom or draped over, thats it no flowers and my tables will be very ivory. I'm not girly but i love candles and the pearls add a bit of glamour. My MOH also gets married a few months after me and she is struggling with colours as her H2B is ginger and pale skinned, shes going with the champayne and soft browns as everything else seems to clash with him. xx
