What do you think of this dress?

EAC13, 14 November, 2012 at 07:42 Posted on Planning 0 19

Morning!

Wondering what you think of this dress. I can't figure out whether I like the back or not. Not sure if I think it looks like there's too much going on with the lace strap and then the detail below on the dress itself. Any opinions overall? Oh and the strap is detachable.

Thank you x

I have actually tried this dress on and it is absolutely gorgeous!!! The pics really dont do it justice. Its the only dress I've tried on that made my mom cry so I think that says it all.

I did prefer it without the one shoulder attachment on. It is very flattering with the satin panels though Smiley smile

Is this 'the one' for you?

It's lovely, but I do prefer it without the strap. But then I'm a strapless kinda gal!

I like it, I'm not a fan of e strapless wedding dress so anything that's a bit different is all good by me. I tried a very similar one on ough so that's probably why.

Oooh I really like. I like both with and without the strap so I'm not much use! See which suits ypu better - I'd take pics with and without and look back on them see which you prefer as I think it's easier than relying on a mirror!

I love it, and I must admit I MUCH prefer it with the strap!

Without it, its a beautiful wedding dress, but with it - its a beautiful, different and very stand out WOW wedding dress.

I tried this one one. Love the shape, the asymmetrical satin bit at the front looked bit odd on me, it made my hips look wide. But then again maybe i'm a strange shape? Definitely worth a try, gorgeous dress

If you haven't tried it on then I suggest you track it down. Essence of Australia dresses are gorgeous and as someone else mentioned the photos don't really do them justice. I really like it with the strap.

Note - I am a biased Essence of Australia bride.

    Thanks ladies Smiley smile

I have tried it and love it with the strap especially. I feel more comfortable in a dress that isn't strapless as I'm not particularly gifted in the bust! This is why this dress fits the bill because it has a nice strap whilst having detail under the bust and hence accentuating it more!

Hiya! I did answer you but now I look back, it doesn't appear in the thread. Was on my phone so musn't have worked. So sorry. The dress was stunning and I highly recommend you try it on if you haven't already done so. I was told it was over £1800 but they wouldn't give me an exact figure until a second try on. I don't think I will try it on again though as I think this Essence dress suited me more. have you been to try it on? What did you think? Have you found any tohers that you've liked? x

Love this dress, particularly with the strap. I am also biased though- i have the Essence D1158 which is similar. Never had anything one shouldered in my life but just fell in love when I put it on. I did try mine without the strap too, but it looked much nicer with.

Not trying it on till December 4th! I really hope i like it because i have seen two other dresses i like, Blue by Enzoani England and a Suzanna Neville dress Coronet, which is very different to what i thought i might want! I keep looking at everyones posts about dress trying on and can't wait for my next appointment! The Essence dress looks lovely! Is it the one???x

You should try the Essence DJ1368. It's similar to the sort of dress you're after. It was another stunning dress on. I just think I need something more fitted. I think this might just be "the one" Smiley laugh super excited to go back again! Might even take a photo and flash it! x
