What drinks to have at the drinks reception?

nearlymrsw, 22 September, 2013 at 21:19 Posted on Planning 0 6

I'm getting married in February 2014, and me and Mr W are struggling with ideas on what drinks to serve in the space between our ceremony and sit down meal. e Neither of us is keen on fizz (champagne, prosecco or otherwise). Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions what we serve as an alternative, bearing on mind we're on a budget?!

Well, as it's Feb, and it'll prob be chilly, how about a hot punch or mulled wine? If you don't categorically hate fizz, you could always have bellinis - mixing the fizz with some fruit puree. Failing that, I don't see anything wrong with beers and wines but you might want something more special Smiley smile

This!! I'd be thrilled to get a mulled wine at a wedding, granted some people only associate it with Christmas but i'd still have it haha. We're having champagne or soft drink alternatives then red & white wine for meals. I also think beers & wines are fine Smiley smile
