We have a DJ and he also sings so this should break up the music a little. Luckily enough he doesn't charge any extra for the singing set!

We are also having a candy buffet and candy floss so this will keep some of our guests entertained too!

I went to a works conference last week and they had a photo booth and it was so much fun. I'm seriously considering getting one as it was a great ice breaker but don't know if we can stretch the budget for this.

    xx

The only sort of entertainment we've got is a band, apart from that, we havent got anything else in terms of other performers/games. Kinda hoping guests will entertain themselves ?

    We just had a DJ.

At my brothers wedding, they had quiz questions then a band later on. Each table got the quiz questions that were quirky wedding traditions from around the world. The table with the most accurate answers & also the funniest were read out & won prizes.

We are getting married at 3pm then having a relaxed do, partly because there will be about 18 young children. Bouncy castle, giant twister, jenga, connect 4 etc outside, an activity table inside, a small jazz/funk combo and a dj. Hog roast and icecreams van, hotdogs for the kids, cupcakes etc. Then evening buffet. Should be something for everyone really (I hope! ) but have chosen to have the band on before the dj so that we don't leave before they are finished. Xx

I'd actually love a magician but not sure if the budget will stretch.

We're having a band and photo booth but that's it for the evening.

THIS !! i so so wanted but OH has put his foot down with a firm hand as he really doesn't like the idea ☹️

Our ceremony isn't until 3.30 pm then there will be garden games ( not really just for the kids but they can have a go too) while we have our welcome drinks in the garden, I'm thinking of asking the pianist to set up in the gazebo after the ceremony so we can have some background music as well, Our meal wont finish until around 7.30 so we opted just to have a DJ for our evening reception where there will be a chocolate fountain set up for people to pick from if the want. yummy yummy !! ?

What time would a magician normally get involved? Surely evening music will drown them out? No?

Magic can be done at any time. It could done wandering around whilst you are having your photos, during your drinks reception, between course of your meal or at the evening reception. Because it is all close up it is no different to people having a conversation and will not be drowned out by your music.

Thanks. When have you found it works best?

I think it works best between courses of the meal or at the evening reception. I like to do a mixture of both if possible, especially if you are having guests that are coming just for the evening.
