What flowers are you going for?

Mrs G to be, 25 March, 2011 at 22:27 Posted on Planning 0 11

HI Peeps,

I'm off to see a different florist tomorrow and I need to knowwhat I want. I'm in off-white/ivory and my bm's are victorian lilac. I was oriignally having a ivory bouquet but another florist (yes another!) mentioned about me having the colours of my Bm's dresses and them having white/ivory. What do you think?

What type of flowers are you all having? Are your bms having exactly the same as you?

We're having Aqua Pink Roses, Two-tone Pink Lisianthus and Ivory Freesias. I'm having a larger bouquet (posy style) with some little butterflies placed within, my bridesmaid is just having a smaller verson of mine but without the butterflies.

I'm having Memory Lane roses with white freesias and my bridesmaids having ivory Avalanche roses with freesias. So their bouquet will be all ivory and mine will have the coloured roses x

I'm having an all ivory, shower bouquet - cala lillies, orchids and roses. My BMs are having the same but in a smaller version. When I was BM for my friend she wanted to do what your florist suggested - her have the BM colour and we have her dress colour. But her florist talked her out of it and said anytime he sees that he always just wants to swap the flowers over - and I kind of know what he means!

I had red flowers - roses, anemone, tulips, hypericum berries with thistles. My bridesmaids had the same but in white/ivory without the thistles. You can just about see them here:
