What have been your wedding related bargains!?

Lorns, 23 February, 2015 at 12:42 Posted on Planning 0 30

I am curoius to know what bargains people have had whilst planning?

Mine came in the shape of this stunning little bag on Saturday....

As you can see... yes, that does say £3.50. It was from the RSPCA charity shop and I only popped in there to look for glasswear!

I had forgotten to even think about a handbag for the day to be honest, but when I saw it, I fell in love straight away!

So what have been your utter bargains!?

My dress! I got it in a sale; RRP was £1200, and I bought it for £375! I would have paid full price, but it was just a huge bonus to save so much.

That bag is so cute! What a find!

Mine probably my dress £500 (brand new). My BM dressses about £150 for all five of them from eBay and pre-loved. My shoes, again brand new, found on eBay by a lady selling up her bridal shop, £25 (rrp £85).

Bought all my own artificial flowers for about £65. I am a right spendthrift ha ha!

Been finding quite a few bargains lately. My glitzy secrets side tiara that is £50 on their site I got for £18 brand new on ebay. I saw a veil I liked for £150 but found someone on facebook to make me the same thing for £38 (not got it yet but her veils look stunning). My dress originally was £1500, I got it for £500, bridesmaid dress £62 in the sale. 96ish meters of bunting for £15.

Wow all these bargains, i must start buying things.

I haven't got much yet but my biggest bargain is my post box. I fell in love with one at a wedding fair which was £50 to hire. I got mine off a facebook page for free ☺.

    That's a lovely little bag!

No bargains for me, but I'm REALLY chuffed with our bridesmaids dresses... Budgeted £200ish per dress but found exactly what I was looking for (the twobirds twist/wrap style) from Marks and Sparks for £59! In the most gorgeous fabric and colour, too.

My wedding dress was 70% off, bridesmaids dresses 50% off, shoes were 50% off, and our candle holders were handmade by Mr Ash for $3 each (including materials, time and shipping) instead of $8 (without shipping).

I've just booked a photographer. We never had one in our budget, instead to be relying on family to take photos, but he is just launching his business and has agreed to cover us for two hours (ceremony and then meal) for £99 with a 8 x 10 and full copyright to print off USB :-)

Our best financial discovery was just after we booked our videographer for £899 and he then put his prices up to £1400.

Also saved nearly £700 on my Enzoani wedding gown by buying a sample.

My shoes were £9 from a charity shop, only worn inside by the looks of it. Also bought some long sparklers in Lidl when it was fireworks night for our evening do which cost about £20 for 120. My dress was £250 but it's going to have a lot of work done to it so will end up costing me more in the end.
