What icing for cup cakes

I reckon it depends on the look ur going for. We're having lots and lots of cupcakes for our wedding cake and there will be different types of icing and decorations. It's very random
Similiar to the one flashed. There;s no butter icing in this one but it will be big and swirly on the cakes. It's being made by the fab people at suffolk cupcake company!

In the hummingbird cookery book there's a few recipes for frosting. They are all butter icing based, but they do have a lavender, chocolate and vanilla ones that would be a little less sweet...the other option is ask in the bakery if they do a lower sugar "diabetic" option of frosting.

Thats a good idea! Chocolate isn;t as sickly sweet too and you could alternate between dark and white
