What information do you need to give a florist to get an accurate price?

I am wanting to get ideas of price for flowers, but what sort of information do I need to give them?

I don't seem to have a clue!

Do they need to know how many bridesmaids, best men, ushers, moc's, flower girls, tables etc... there are going to be?

Yeah - I didnt have that problem becuase the best men and bridesmaids are all having artificial ones that they can keep. and we arent having any on tables. But yes they would need to know this and you would need to go through what sort of flowers you want for this etc. Have you thought about the MOTB and the MOTG, their corsarges? x

Yes you need to give numbers with regards to bridesmaids if you want them to have flowers and also the bridal party as a whole for button holes and corsages. You can get an idea of styles with the florist but it helps if you have an idea of the type of flowers you would like and styles. If you want flowers for the venue and tables it helps to have an idea of what you need and the numbers.

    Hi, moonpie!

I went in armed with pictures of stuff, such as the bouquet style I was after, what kind of buttonholes, centrepieces, etc I wanted. I listed everything including the numbers (i.e. BMs corsages x 3, mothers' handbag corsages x 2 etc) and bulletpointed underneath which flowers / foliage I wanted and next to each item I put pictures from the internet of the nearest thing to what I wanted. the quote she gave me based on that was within £25 of the final price!

I also made a moodboard of pics I took with me to all florists:
