    Rather than flowers, how about a nice flowering plant to go in the garden? Such as a rose bush or something similar?

    Nice toiletries? Jewellery? Some little trinket or keepsake like an inscribed jewellery box/paperweight/compact? We are getting MIL2B something like this as she's going home by plane so flowers would be a bit awkward.

    Does she have any hobbies? FIL2B's life revolves around his prize-winning dog so we are going to ask an artistic friend to paint a portrait of the dog as a thank-you present to him.

    Also you can get a rose named after her?

    http://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk/unusual-gifts/name-a-rose-gift.htm?s_kwcid=TC|7862|rose%20named%20after%20someone||S|e|5788912462&gclid=CM7Z9dLSoakCFdFX4QoddxMJtw

    ... yes a lot of flower references- for some reason I am just thinking of ways that flowers are not a waste!

    I'm getting my parents each a hanky with a sweet (albeit a bit ?) message on them. Mum's says "to dry your tears as you have always dried mine" and dad's says "today a bride, tomorrow a wife, always your little girl" followed by the wedding date.

    That'll be their something to keep and then I think we'll get them a treat for them to do after the wedding. We're getting married abroad, so tickets for somewhere or a voucher for a nice restaurant before they leave.

    I'm getting my step-Dad a bottle of his favourite drink and my Mum is getting flowers, a silver engraved locket keyring and a silver engraved photo frame which will hold one of the professional wedding pics when we get them back.

    MOG is getting flowers and maybe an engraved photo frame too.

    Hi!

    We have bought the mums pretty perfume decanters from Monsoon that cost £15 each, we have got the bridesmaids pandora charms and the dads have got cufflinks that say Father of the Bride and Father of the Groom, they cost around £10.

    Hope this helps as we are on a budget too and it can soon go out of control! xxxxx

    This only works if your parents are still together but we are getting really nice double photo frames with their wedding pic in one side and a space for ours in the other. My Dad has had a watch (reduced on amazon from £200 to £40 amazing) he has paid for most of it so wanted to get him something special
