I just wish people would stop going on about it all. It feels like people get criticises no matter what they do. I'm sure if Nat shut down HG and started a new group with only certain people in then there would have been a riot from others and there would have been accusations of cliqueyness.

I think all this has done is proved that some people had formed wrong opinions of the supposed clique and that maybe there is another one out there?

Could people stop getting on at people like Trickers, Mooey, CB etc please and let it all drop?

As for FB, obviously I am friendly with the people I get on with over there, I am not sure what relevance it has to which group I am/am not part of personally.

If an email had been sent to each individual group member letting them know that the group was shutting down it would have went into their email and they could have closed it immediately therefore no barrage of posts or whatever the fear was.

Instead it was closed then obviously by mistake members of the group found while closing the first another had been set up and only it seems a few members were deemed okay to be the exclusive members of that one.

It was rude and i don't think anything anyone says will make me think otherwise.

Try telling that to the brides who met their husbands/H2Bs online....

i have some very good friends who i have met online and will be coming to my wedding so they are 'real'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgoodness sake Stop arguing who closed it and move on.. Hitched use to be a lovely place unfortunately it is now as the group was....

perhaps Hitched should realise that the site has been taken over by the same people who ruined the FB group and shut them down...

You all sound like big babies stomping your feet and throwing your toys out of the pram!! SO WHAT??! A group that you were part of on FB has gone and you weren't told about it!!! WHOOPY DOO!! GET OVER IT and GET OVER YOURSELF!!!

Nobody appointed you to stand up for "the people" and shout about not being informed!!! As far as I see it, out of the 120 people that were removed from the group after it closed (myself being one of them), there's only approximately 6 of you that are moaning about it!! That's approximately 5% of the population, and that 5% is made up of the people who like to start arguments.

I'm sure the people who closed it down are really sorry that they didn't deliver hand-tied scrolls to the important few to inform them of the closure of something they set up in the first place!!

Funny that cos it looks to me if you actually read it through, that people have agreed to disagree and dropped the whole subject so they can get on with their lives! Shouting at people and starting it all up again is really not going to help promote peace and harmony, so in the interests of maintaining a friendly atmosphere, Mrs Lewis do you need a hand putting your toys back in the pram? Yes, I do, that is why I took a whole 2 hours replying after the last poster - (now being accused of re-starting it) - not all of us sit at our computers refreshing the page and living for the fight!

What I meant is there was a conversation on the thread this morning in a relatively short space of time and the majority of the posts made in that conversation alluded to the fact that everyone should just drop it and get on with normal chat, in the couple of hours since then, the issue has been dropped and as far as I can see normal inclusive posting has resumed, up util you stamped up with your shouting and excessive punctuation!
