To be honest i'd not really looked at wedding maga that much and seen a particular one that i loved.

The dress I thought I would wear was Ian Stuarts Pompadour, however when I tried it on it was too heavy for me.

So have gone for a Maggie Sottero & Midgley dress and I love it,it has bits of all the things I wanted in a dress. On the model here...

although it looks completely different on me! i'm having it in ivory, not the mink shown. I loved it as soon as i had it on even before seeing it in the mirror - it think the vintage detailing was the bit that drew me to it.

I was having a Benjamin Roberts but I changed my mind today and Im having a Ronald Joyce❤️

My dress is Jenny Packham, so obviously my favourite designer.

I loved dresses by Alan Hannah, Ian Stuart and Constantina Bridal too (an B. Roberts line I think?)

If I lived anywhere near a supplier, I would be tring on Monique Lhuillier dresses. Maybe its a good thing I don't!

I didnt set out to buy a Maggie dress, I was trying on Ian Stuart,Justin Alexander and Alan Hannah dresses but none of them that I tried felt right.Felt heavy and where they were zips etc backs I found it quite hard to visualise what the dress would actually look like.
We were passing a shop by my florists and we went in to have a look and I tried on some Essence dresses and a couple of Maggies and I instantly liked the corset back styles. Then I saw my dress and tried it on and that was it.
I think Maggie dresses are very good quality for affordable prices.
Mine is a Sottero Midgley Design which I hadnt heard of until I went in the shop. It was much cheaper than we were expecting as the others I had tried on previously were over £1000 and £1500. And that was my budget so was very pleased with the Maggie price tag ?

I'd seen online and fallen in love with this Alfred Angelo and felt like a real princess when I tried it on. But then she hooked the train up for nighttime and it has a proper bustle - a mass of fabric on my bum! I've lost 4.5 stone for this wedding, I didn't want that disguised by a huge ball of material!

So I ended up buying this Mori Lee, which looks better IRL (that's the sample) than it does on the site.

Thats the Adelaide I think - I have the Michelle though!!! They are very similar! I love the Michelle!! The corset is amazing and it is such a sophisticated dress!!! Mine is in Diamond White! I have to admit I cried when I tried it on and no other dress made me do that! Am such a woose!

Hi everyone - I have to say Benjamin Roberts - what an amazing designer. I tried on too many dresses and always compared them to "my" dress!!! I love it and hopefully going to buy it tomorrow!!! Taking the "mother-in-law" and "sister-in-law" along to show them!!!

Originally I was set on Benjamin Roberts 930 but I decided I'd seen it in too many magazines and knew a lot of people who liked it so I wanted something a bit different! It is a gorgeous well made dress though.
I like mine because a) it's so different to any others I've seen
b) the lace bits cover any armpit overhang!
c) It's lace up so I can be hauled in tight.

Mine is a Rosa Clara.

However when I was looking I loved Pronovias dresses (they did lots of lace) but loved the corsetry of Maggies.

I didn't go looking for a specific designer. I did love the Maggie dresses but I also loved Dizzy Lizzie.
