What is the most ridiculous thing you have bought?

I'm hoping I'm not the only one who has spent money on something wedding related then wondered why on earth they purchased it, what have you wasted money on? Thankfully mine was only 100 Martha Stewart laser cut paper hearts... so far!

I am hoping nothing too ridiculous as I have planned to a T what I needed of everything. The abundance of jars, lace and hessian under the stairs is causing OH some concern...but he is happy with them!

I do seem to have lots of mini pegs that I get rather excited about!

On the hangers topic, I really wanted some but have decided to go with a different tactic to save some pennies. I have got wooden coat hangers (1 childs one for 30p in Ikea yesterday caused much excitement as I refused to buy a pack of 8! and the rest a friend has given me) which I will paint white. I have got little wooden hearts from here https://www.countrybloomers.co.uk/personalised-gifts/personalised-hearts/personalised-wooden-small-heart-special-daughter-nana-grandma-nanny-godmother-teacher-mummy-auntie-sister with their names on to hang over the top.

Nothing yet, but only because I keep changing my flippin' mind about what I want.

But when I do - GOD HELP ME.

I have gone a bit crazy on vases, I have 37 at the last count of varying shapes and sizes (and they don't go together), I decided in a bit of an over the top bridezilla melt down yesterday that none of them work because they're either too big/too small the wrong colours and I don't know if we're even going to have flowers!!!! The worst bit is after this realisation yesterday I STILL found myself almost buying another ten today because I thought they'd be better before realising I needed to make my mind up first!!! Still trying to find ways of using at least some of the vases I currently have. We'll only have a total of 7 tables on the day so they'd currently have five vases each so it's waaay over the top!

20 meters of the stuff doesn't go nearly as far as I imagined it would!

Well so far 500 meters of lace. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet!

I've also been lying to MF about where I am going, and visiting carboot sales at the weekend to pick up vases. I then hide them in my boot until I can take them to my mum's for proper storage/hiding! I suppose that's pretty bad!

Only two things, a pair of shoes that I bought in the sale, if I'm honest I liked them but didn't love them and just got swept along in the moment. I will sell them after the wedding, also a wedding money box that we don't use...

Erm I bought 15 table number holders from John Lewis about a week before our wedding when I decided I needed them. They were £2.50 each and now have no use for them at all!

What else is ridiculous is that we only had 12 tables, not sure what I thought I was going to do with the extra 3....

This thread is cracking me up! I bought a dress from ebay for my bridesmaids it arrived and although it was nice it wasn't my thing - couldnt have returned it and got my money back but forgot about it and now it's collecting dust in the spare room.....1. Don't spend money when you don't need to and 2. Must dust more often

I've actually done really well. I bought BMs shoes but don't like them now, BMs are happy with them though and you can't see them anyway!

unneccessary purchases include groom, usher etc socks - who's gonna see them really?

And a bride and groom 5 foot balloon thing at £40. It's cool but we have nowhere for them.... Yet ;-)

    xxx

With my fuzzy morning brain I misread your post as your unnecessary purchases included the groom and usher! Made sense when I re-read it though!
