I couldnt find a theme for ages, I new I wanted a hot Pink as my colour and I love diamonds (what girl doesnt ?) & any thing sparkly. So my theme is pink n sparkles!
Im going to have pink chair sashes and scattered pink and clear diamonds for the table confetti!
I don't really have a theme as such, just things and colours that I like.
We have a Manor house and classical pianist but then we have a steel band so a real contrast. Colours are mainly champagne, cream and chocolate with lots of curly willow, white lanterns and white flowers but not everything totally matching.
There doesn't. Personally though I've found having a very loose theme has helped me be able to tie things together so it doesn't all look too haphazard.
Our theme is love birds though it is just a few touches, colours are neutrals (gold, champagne, ivory), french navy and coral
Our 'theme' is 'stuff we like' lol We're having afternoon tea, because we like scones with jam and cream. And we're having a BBQ in the evening because we like BBQ's. I like Lavender plants so we're probably going to have lavender plants as the flowers and table centres. And the colour green goes well with lavender so thats probably what we'll have.
Our theme was 'Miss CB & Mr CB are getting married and will be doing the things that they like with a view to throwing an ace party for their guests afterwards'. I like to think we did a pretty decent job of it!
As for colours, we went for pretty, neutral things:
No theme. Purple and yellow, Algeria/Ireland (me), Jamaica/Scotland (her), a casino, string quartet doing modern songs and candelabras and the knowledge somehow it'll come together and just be us. It's a complete mishmash but we hope we've done in a way that'll come together and reflect our personalities. I don't think I could think of one 'theme' that could do this for us. For us, people having a lot of fun and witnessing us become wife and wife is the main thing, and I want to keep the focus there.
Ours is Winter Woodland meets Narnia because we are getting married in December but wanted to keep away from Xmas colours and themes and because we both love the outdoors, woods and mountains, etc.
Ours is a beach theme since we are getting married on a beach....so shells, sandcastles, fish and chips etc. Our colour is yellow as this is my fav colour....h2b is trying to throw red in to make it lifeguard colours...i'm not convinced!
