What is your colour scheme/theme for your big day?

carolineT, 17 May, 2011 at 11:09 Posted on Planning 0 59

Hello,

I just thought it might be nice if we all told each other what our colour scheme and/or theme was for our wedding days? I'm so interested in knowing what other people are planning! Our's has a vintage/country theme, and we're going to have hot pink, lime green and white (OH choice, not mine!). xxx

We're getting married in Zante. Our colour scheme is hot pink!

We haven't really got a set theme, but we are trying to create a relaxed 'alfresco' day. ?

Our wedding is based around pink roses as I absolutely love them. I'm decorating loads of bits with mini pink roses. It's going to be girly!

Our colour scheme is red and silver, I suppose our theme is 'alternative' with rock music and feathers. Much to the disappointment of the older members of the family who like 'proper church weddings' and brides in white.

Ours is Purple & Orange. I wanted a different colour to brighten up the purple (it can look a bit funerally iykwim?) so went for orange. it reminds me of a cadbury double decker.

    This was my initial moodboard

My colours are purple, white, a litle silver and lots of crystals/bling..

I suppose the theme is glitz and glam but a very good friend named it Hearts and Sparkles... Smiley smile

Ours is Red, Silver and Ivory. We're going for a Winter Theme with the Red to keep a bit of warmth.

I never knew purple could be funerally?!

We went for red and ivory for ours, simple and classic, and the colours really stood out in our photos! x

Our theme is cream roses, pearls and lace, with all different types of decorated hearts hanging everywhere i.e. natural wooden ones, painted wooden ones, wicker and cream metal ones, with slate/charcoal grey ribbon and dresses for the bridesmaids. It's sounds a bit mush-mashed but in my head it looks OK! x

Ours is black and hot pink, with a loose theme of hearts (and a few bits of Hello Kitty for good measure), based around my very girly tattoos.

Can I just point out, that my OH is totally fine with the Hello Kitty bits, and he was in no way badgered into it, by the threat of withholding wedding night nookie!!!

We're having turquoise and fuschia/hot pink. We have two themes running through the day, neither of them overly obvious. The first is 'party' - we're having a garden party, followed by a dinner party followed by a 'something' party (need a name for the evening!). The second theme is sweet treats. Our save the dates are cakes, there will be cupcakes and scones during the garden party, cookies as favours, then there'll be chocolate and a sweet buffet in the evening. As well as a couple of wedding cakes!

We're going for ivory and antique gold combined in a very romantic theme. Our venue is called Plum Park so we're putting splashed of plum in there too.
