It probably isn't in most people's heads but I remember doing a church visit with school when I was a kid and being told that vicar's wear purple at funerals!? It's always stuck in my mind but purple is my favourite so I had to have it at my wedding!!

Ours sound similar EnglishRose. We are having ivory, antique gold, and using Eggplant as an accent colour. Going for a Romantic Elegant theme i guess, if that is theme!

Hiya... yeah bougth heaps.. I did have a corner in the guest bedroom just for wedding stuff and now its taken up all down one side, I have got a white birdcage for cards, white wooden tray for confetti cones for guests, purple shoes for BM's, the BM sample dress in purple from Birmingham Dress Lady, purple table crystals, STD's, address labels, envelope seals, garter, my very gorgeous Mary Green knickers... think thats about it... lol

The bling stuff is kinda sorted as we know what tiara i am having and drooling over Glitzy Secrets for my necklace and earrings and getting Starstruck on here to design and make necklaces and earrings for the BM's too..

    Lots of sparkle... Smiley smile

Our main colours are Claret and Gold but with a loose autumnal theme - my flowers are deep reds and orangey gold. Ours isn't a full on theme, we just used Autumn (our favourite season) as a base for our colour scheme.

Our colour scheme was pink, but not overly colour coordinated.

Bridesmaids wore pink dresses and the men had pink ties. My flowers were bright pink and the only other pink was the pale pink gerberas on the tables (2 stems per vase)

Ours has a summer garden/butterfly theme and is fuchsia with a hint of silver. I got my inspiration from a set of coasters I have here that are silver with a big fuchsia flower on the front, I thought the colours looked really good together so those are the colours I have gone for. The theme came purely from the fact that it is a garden wedding.

    Hi everyone,

I'm new on here, only been engaged for two months and getting married in 2013 - that's about all I know at the moment! Right now I'm thinking of a Baby Pink and Black colour scheme ?

I am really undecided... I am thinking of maybe pale peach and pale green. Do you think they will go? I'm not really very arty, so I really can't decide! We are getting married abroad, amd outside so I want something quite natural/rustic.

    xx

We don't really have a theme. All I knew was I wanted big bright sunflowers instead of more traditional type bouquet flowers, so obviously yellow is going to be one of our colours! OH wanted royal blue so will have that on the men's waistcoats, and a few royal blue crystals at the table for our sit down meal, everything else will be silver and ivory and luckily my venue will have an ivory carpet for the aisle instead of the usual red by next aug! I suppose royal blue, silver and ivory are more winter colours but I am hoping the splash of sunflowers will lift it back into being more summery.

Originally it was antique gold and ivory but I've included more colours since I realised how hard it is to get things in the right shade of gold. The search for a BM dress in gold led to a dead end - so now we're searching for one in deep red. we're also having yellow since we are sharing our church flowers with the couple who are getting married after us and yellow is the only colour they were using which worked with our colour scheme.

Is it ok that I don't really care about colour schemes any more?
