What is/has been your favourite part of Wedding Planning??

Hi, Definatly getting the dress. Choosing the venue, meeting the florist, just seeing it all come together really x

I think so far the most exciting thing has been deciding on our honeymoon!

Although I haven't been dress shopping yet so I'm sure when I start that, that will be quite exciting too ?

Am also looking forward to writing my speech!

Edited to add: actually Delvesje made a good point - choosing the venue was amazing, I actually welled up as it was so stunning and I could just imagine us all there! (sorry for the fluff overdose) ?

Hey there .. im not too sure i have enjoyed any of it! ... i have found it pretty tough this time round tbh (i have been married before), and havent had anyone to bounce off apart from my OH(like my mum who is totally disinterested).. i guess if i had to pick it would be seeing the invites for the first time!

ETA: ooh actually one of the posts above made reminded me meeting the florist was fantastic, and im so excited to see the finished article.

Digressing a bit i have a real thing for Marilyn... so i adore your avatar!

Although I did well up at the venue when we decided that's where we'd get married..... pathetic I know!

Would you have enjoyed planning more if your Mum had been more interested??...I think I'm excitable because of the people around me...as you said its having people to bounce off.

Crossing things off the "to-do" list ?

The best part was having my last dress fitting and getting my dress home. I fell in love with the dress as soon as I saw it but the sample in the shop was too small and then when mine was delivered it was too big. Seeing it altered to fit me perfectly was lovely and I got a bit overexcited!

Apart from that, I can't really say I've particularly enjoyed the planning. I'm very pleased with everything that we've done and will have a fantastic day (in 17 days time!) but it's taken a lot of brainpower to get to this point.

Im glad im not the only one to have an marilyn thing, i have the most amazing Andy Wharhol style canvas at home of her and thats what started me off on it....would love to of incorporated her into the wedding theme somehow!! *dont make me jealous and say that you have lol*

I think i would have enjoyed it if i had more people to share it with, particularly my mum as its the one thing you kind of think goes hand and hand with wedding planning, my close friends are also really busy to share things with if that makes sense...ie to go wedding shopping with, or live miles away so ive plodded on. Im not woe is me because i am independant i just feel a little bit alone with it sometimes. You havent flashed your dress on here have you? you should ?

Hehe Im soo sad...we are calling our tables after our heros and Heroines...we've got a Marilyn Monroe table...Freddie Murcury Table...Eric Cantona Table and a Robbie Williams table!!!

I have flashed my dress but will do it agin for ya...its such a chore?

To be frank I don't think I have a favourite part of WP coz I am having an absolute ball organising the whole lot! In fact, last week OH was looking at me with a wierd grin on his face as I was chatting to myself him about cake ribbon and toppers that I was researching on the internet, I looked up and said 'wot?' he just looked at me and said 'you look really happy looking at cakey stuff, you're totally loving planning this wedding aren't ya babe?!' (then he cuddled me! ?)

But I really did get a buzz when we ordered the rings.........

Arrrh thats really sweet...im enjoying this planning lark too not found it the least bit stressfull...my OH leaves me to plan away...hes sooo laid back bless him.

My OH is just leaving it all to me too. Like your man Charlotte, mine's sooooo laid back he's horizontal, in fact he did say the only thing he wanted to help sort out was his suit and ring! I don't mind, but I did tell him that if things start going crazy next year he will be phsically forced to help out!!! (the only response I got was a sort of grunt!)

The end. The bit when you get into bed on your wedding night and think "bloody hell thank god that's over, now where is my lovely OH."

Seriously. It was totally stressful. I think I enjoyed choosing my dress and that's about it.

Didn't stop me planning it to the nth degree though LOL
