What length veil?

Noodle2Be, 25 April, 2011 at 20:18 Posted on Planning 0 10

This is my dress:

/maggie-sottero?style=A3342BRT

I know I definitely want a veil but I dont know whether to have a fingertip veil or a cathedral length one, I tried both on in the shop and loved them both, so opinions wanted!!!

    Your dress is stunning!

I would say Catherdral, but maybe only because I have a maggie dress also and am going for Catherdral length, ive gone for the Brianna dress which is not too un-similar to yours x

Your dress is grogeous! I wish I had the figure for a dress like this, you'll look fab! I'm going for a 54 inch veil, but I would say a cathedral length for this dress.x

Personally i would have a veil that stops above the detail on back of your dress ie just above your bum! This is because it will really empahaise the detail. If you hsve a cathedrell length will just cover it all up. In my opinion that defeats the object of having detail on the back of your dress!

Thank you! It doesnt look that good on me! I'm much bigger than the model, but felt like a princess in it. I did like the cathedral length felt, i am slightly worried though about only really being able to wear it for a short time.

Hmm, not sure about a Catherdral length covering the back of the dress up, mine is similar in that it has a bit of detail on the back of the dress, but the catherdral veils ive tried on in the shops, didnt hide my dress as the veils are quite sheer and still shows the back of the dress up, but for me completes the look x

Veils are so thin that they do not cover detail up. Mine was a cathedral length veil and you could still see all the detail of the dress.

I agree with the others, a cathedral length veil would look fab!

I'm having a Maggie dress too, and didn't want a veil, but the lady in the shop put the most gorgeous sparkly cathedral veil on my head, which made my mum and sister cry...I loved it!
