welshcake79, 12 July, 2011 at 16:53 Posted on Planning 0 4

The title says it all ?...

What photos on your list are a 'must have' for your album?

Final meeting with the tog next week, so looking for inspiration.

We are not having many at all.

    Big Group Shot

    The bridal party

B&G and brides immediate family (parents, brother & SIL and nephew)

B&G and grooms immediate family (parents, sister and potentially her LT boyfriend)

B&G and both sets of parents

That is all really. I will have some more informal shots with the bridesmaids whilst getting ready in the morning, as will OH with his ushers so not fussed about having seperate formal shots with them really.

We only have 50/60 guests at the wedding in total so we hope most people will be in the reportage shots of the day. Other than that any particular photos I would like to have with good friends will most likely be done with them on their cameras. We are also doing our own photobooth thing so will also have silly pics with friends on this.

Our photographers suggest a max of 10 formal must have photos.

These days formals seem to be just to please the older generation.

It would be good to have a VIP list where you and your OH walk to find with your tog and then have the picture taken.

I'm not giving my photographer a list. There are no unusual photographs (or combinations of people) I'm after, and I figure that he's experienced enough that he knows the sort of shots to go for. I mean, it's not like I'm going to come away without a photo of me and my parents or something like that! If I see a nice location on the day, I'll ask him at the time Smiley smile

This was the list we gave our tog:

Bride, Groom and Bride's Paternal Grandparents

Bride, Groom and Groom's Paternal Grandparents

Bride, Groom and Groom's Maternal Grandparents

    Bride and her Usherettes

Bride, Groom, Bridal Party, & Families

    Bride and her Bridesmaids

    Groom and his Best Man

Bride, Groom and both sets of Parents

    Bride, Groom and Bride's Parents

    Bride, Groom and Groom's Parents

    Bride, Groom and Groom's Family

    Bride, Groom and Bride's Family

On the day I think we missed out Groom and Best Man, and B&G with individual families, and we also did Groom's grandparents all together.

I also made a list of detail shots, most of which were obvious but which I wanted to make sure we got:

    At home

    Dress hanging up

Shoes hanging up (soles in view)

    At the ceremony

    Signing the register

    First kiss

    Confetti being thrown

Bride and Groom on the back of the bus

    At the evening reception

    Glass of champagne

    Place cards

    Table plan

    Favours (jars of sweets)

    Cake-cutting
