What makes your wedding unique/different!!

Hi Ladies I want to add a few extra bits and pieces to our wedding day for the guests to remember so I am having maybe not so different but a champagne tower which we will pour the champagne into while guests are lined up on the stair case in the castle before our wedding breakfast.

I am having scottish dancers put on a short performance on the terrace before out evening bbq is served and lastly we are having chinese lanterns for both us and guests as they have a special rememberance for me to someone who cannot be with us on the day!

Just being nosey really lol! oh My shoes and garter are the same shade as my BM dresses also!

    My OH is getting married in his uniform, i've never seen anyone IRL in this uniform and never seen a wedding in it (i'm waiting for shelley74shelley's wedding report!) so that is a bit different.

    Our cake is also very unique, and very different, as it's OHs choice.

    I think both of the above are fairly subjective and certainly, not everyone will like them - hope I do!

    Love the idea of a champagne tower.

    I used to think my wedding ideas were unusual, until I came on here and saw some others had the same!

    I will be wearing a genuine vintage dress and the BMs will be in flowery cotton 50s style dresses

    Will arrive at reg office in a vintage Morris Minor

    Picked Buddy Holly as my entrance music

    Have made (sewn) lots of decs

    Our invites are unusual too- a photo that oh has taken (instead of the usual weddingy style)

    Saucer-style champagne glasses

    Wow can't really compete with the unique ideas here - loving the castle and dancers idea btw - I thought mine would look a bit different as I am not having any maids, just my GBF (gay best friend) as a bridesman. Everything else will prob be fairly traditional, but to suit OH and myself so I guess in that most things will be unique to us!

    Me and OH are 'Skinheads' (the 60/70 type not the stereotypical violent 80s type)

    Our wedding is more retro than vintage, it's basically a montage of all the things we love from the 60s/70s/80s.

    It's not entirely unique but out entire wedding is outside.. from the ceremony to the breakfast and live music! It's all outdoors. Pretty unusual in this country where the weather is never predictable and boy are we taking one heck of a risk!

    It's in the style of 'victorian Dandy' with a bit of goth thrown in for good measure...that and pretty much everything is black...xx

    Nothing. Its going to be fairly standard.

    But will be very very unique for OH and I because it will be the only wedding we have been to where we are the ones up at the front saying the vows ?
