Hi all, for those who are getting married and having their reception in different locations, what did you book first, the reception venues or the registrar?

    I got the venue to pencil us in (they would hold the date for a week until we confirmed) then contacted the registrar to make sure they were available on the date then confirmed with the venue.

    Edit: I'm getting married and having the reception in the same place but I assume it still works the same as we have to arrange for the registrar to be able to come to the venue and marry us.

    Again slightly different as I'm marrying in Church but I booked the Church first as without that it's not a wedding thenI found a venue which could fit us in on that day.

    Thanks all ?, found the venue, but will have to wait to book the registrar first....it's all a waiting game te he he.
