What really bugs you?

Jo.1981, 10 April, 2008 at 14:37 Posted on Planning 0 19

Just out of curiosity what really bugs you about your h2b?

Mine is that as soon as you tell him something he instantly forgets or gets distracted. Like he has just told me a friend of his is coming round tonight this is about 30 mins after him emailing to say he is going shopping tonight and do I want anything (the shopping takes all night for some reason btw). Or he'll nip into the downstairs flat saying he'll be back in a minute and he is gone for hours. GRR

Still ❤️ him though.

Mine's a tidy freak. I'll be looking at something, put it down to get something else or to go to the loo or something, when I come back it's gone. Or he'll move something that he thinks is in the wrong place but not tell me, so I then spend ages searching for it. Sometimes he moves things, then forgets where he's put them! Grrr... He's lucky I love him!

That he takes his socks off downstairs and leaves them there even though he is getting up to go upstairs and could put them in the wash basket.

    Rant over

That he says he'll be 5 minutes and is actually 30 !

His concept of time is completely different from mine.

Otherwise he's pretty well house trained, considerate and romantic and even cleans so I am lucky ?.

On an additional note, I have simply refused to do any of his irnoning, I am so stick of ironing shirts so i told him he had to do it himself. He has now used ALL the shirts in his waredrobe and the ironing pile is huge, he had to go on work in a creased shirt this morning which I found highly amusing.

My fella is the same, he doesnt remember anything!!!! he has the worst memory ever!!! and his worst habit which is absolutely sick is he will bite his nails off (instead of using clippers!) and leave them in a little pile where ever he has been sitting to do it so i find them later ?

My OH's most annoying habit is his complete inability to do anything for himself!!!

Ok, maybe a slight exaggeration, but he needs a good push in the right direction.

And the obvious Male Memory thing, and the farting, and the nail clipping, and leaving the bath dirty, and.............

The thing that bugs me the most is the fact that he always puts other people before himself and me. Mainly when he's at work which means that he gets walked over and taken advantage of all of the time. He's too nice.

Also he has the memory of a fish but that seems to be a common theme so maybe that's not just h2b and it's actually men in general.

Oh and another one is that he can't see when things need doing in the house, like washing needing to be put away or the shower curtain needing straightening out so that it doesn't go mouldy.

All in all though i love him to bits and wouldn't swap him for anything.

    ? at the fairy thing

My H2B has also fallen prey to the poor memory syndrome - but he can always remember the important dates for footy matches etc

    BURPING! [xx(]

I've actually told him to go and see someone about it...very likely that's me just overreacting ? but they really are gross...I mean, I can understand a little one here and there, but he does it all the time even when he's not eaten or drank anything and they are sooo loud and last for ages! It really gets to me! ? [xx(][xx(]

    This is my OH too!!!
It annoys the living daylights out of me, but its my house too and i gotta feel comfortable that it is my space, not that I have to live in a show house 'just-in-case' anyone pops over. (FYI, no-one, not even either set of parents EVER pops over!)

But i do love him with all my heart, and at least he takes pride in our house! think i'd hate it more if he did what i do just left everything at his backside

My OH bugs me because he has no concept of time, says we will meet someone in the pub at 8 and he is still watching TV at 5 to and needs to get ready.
Also slightest little thing wrong with me and he is marching me off to doctors - try to get him to go when he is almost dying but will he? No.
Worst of all he picks the dead skin off his feet, Im always finding it?.

But I love him to bits!

I have to agree on the whole bad memory thing too, he forgets that I tell him things then he plays innocent and swears blind I didnt tell him. Also try's to tell me the same thing over and over.
Also his continual tardiness (a pet hate of mine)
His worse one HAS to be picking his nails, the little click click click grates right on my nerves ☹️!]

Still, I wouldnt change him for the world ?

OMG I HATE when people pick their nails! My mum does it and it's like nails down a black board, I get so frustrated when people do it. GRR
