    Hello, welcome & congratulations!

This is a good article on planning: https://www.hitched.co.uk/planning/13steps.aspx. Personally, I did the guest list after venue & officiant but that was just me. We actually only got our rings and insurance in the past few weeks and we're getting married in May this year! So it depends what works I guess!

Questions to ask the venue coordinator depend on the venue type - will they be catering for you, if so, what do they offer? If not, are there any restrictions on what you can provide.... I'd ask about accomodation - do they give you & your bridal party free rooms for the night? And, most important of all, cost & what do you get for that! We asked about if we could have children (yes) so kids meal & high chair provisions were important for us. Ensure they aren't in any financial difficulty as that will cause issues with insurance if you plan to get it. Also, where to get pictures taken, ask to see the function room. It's always good to see the room when it's dressed up for another occasion so you can visualise....

I'm sure there's loads more so I'll post back if I can remember anymore!

    Hi

I am a Sept 14 bride. Venue questions really depend on why you want from them (can you have your own caterers? Will you have exclusive use of the venue/bar or will they have another wedding on? Will they dress the room or can you? How much deposit is needed and when are payments made)? The list is endless

After we booked the venue/ registrar I thought we could wait to book everything else but would advise you book your TOG, when I emailed for quotes I got a few back saying they were booked already- it was a shock as I thought I had ages so if you have a TOG you want book them as soon as you can.

Good luck with the viewings xx
