What shoes?

CountDuckula, 19 May, 2008 at 13:24 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

I have bought this dress for a wedding (thanks Jaz, I think it was one of your recommendations!)

So what shoes to go with it? I have trotters for feet so don't like really strappy things that show off too much foot. I like these but they are a bit high and I will be moaning before the service is over:

Also, I need something to cover up my bingo wings, will this look too matchy matchy? It's the first cardi on the page, I can't open up the window for it individually.

    Hi CD,

I have these shoes from Barratts that would look lovely with that dress, they are also really comfy!

They also do a bag to go with them!

    Oooh pretty

    ?

    What about any of these?

If you are stuck you could always go balck I suppose. Not sure about the matching cardi - again something plain tea, black of even white might be best.

They are lovely but I can feel the balls of my feet aching just looking at them! I also have quite sturdy calves so I can't carry off an ankle strap. Thank you though ?

I love those shoes! But I live in heels so wouldn't be a problem. I have got loads of New Look shoes and once they ae worn in a bit - I find them really comfy (but that could just be me). I also love these:

but they are also very high!

To be honest, I think that cardi would be a bit too matchy. I would prob go for a black or blue shrug/cardi. I bought a lovely shrug from H&M at the weekend that was only about £10. Or could you just go with a pashmina?

Oooh yes a couple of contenders there, thanks. Typically my favourites are the really high ones, maybe if I'm armed with plaster and cushioned insoles I might manage? ?

I was considering black, would be easier. Might look a bit 'heavy' though. I'm not sure about the cardi either, it's not really me.

Silver could also be an option with a different coloured cardi and silver bag?

They are the ones I was eyeing up on Jaz's link. Hmm, maybe the platform bit would cushion the blow. Not sure about a pashmina, I'll end up getting annoyed with it and abandoning it somewhere pretty quickly leaving my bingo wings to wave hello to the world ?

Those asos ones are pretty. After a couple of drinks you won't care about foot pain or bingo wings anyway ?

Whatever I buy, I'll have kicked them off after dinner anyway, may as well save my money and wear some plastic flip flops ?
