what should i wear to see phantom of the opera?

My lovely BF has booked for us to go see phantom in september in london. i have never been to anything like this and im really excited. what should i wear? help please

oh yey im so excited we are staying at the crowne plaza.

i really dont wan to look like a fool. please tell me what clothes to have with me

    Honestly, people wear all sorts. Black trousers and a nice top would be spot on. I'd think more about what would make you and bf feel good than "dresing up". If you overdo it you will look like a provincial, so that would be my only thing to avoid.

    And bear in mind you will be sitting down a lot so it will need to be comfy to sit in and also maybe not linen so if you go for drinks in the interval or afterwards you don't look like you need a good iron!

    Ok so when we say nice top what sort of thing are we talking about?

    im sorry i really dont buy myself many clothes it usually goes on the kids. and when i do get myself somethings its a casual top to wear to school or round the house.

    I love Phantom! Last time I went I wore dark bootcut jeans, a cami top and a blazer.
