What time??

MrsKHbutterfly, 19 January, 2014 at 21:31 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi all, What times are everyone getting married. when I initially booked my registrar I said 1.30pm but am wondering whether to see if I. an change it to 1pm am not sure 30mins will make that much differance but am stressing about us still eating when evening guests turn up. how long is right to leave for each "section"? we're all at one venue so there's no travelling for people to do, I.e from a church. Also, on my invites do i put the ceremony time or an arrival time?? thanks in advance xxx

We're getting married in a venue too so no travelling. Our ceremony is at 1:30 and this is the time that we've put on the invites - it's only a small wedding so I;m hopeful that everyone will get there a little early, and most are staying at the hotel the night before anyway. Everyone will do things a bit different but our timings are:

    1:30pm - Ceremony

2:00pm - Drinks reception and Photos

3:30pm - Wedding breakfast and speeches

6:00pm - End of wedding breakfast

    7:30pm - Evening guests arrive

They're all open to change though of course! Our photographer will do group and informal pictures during the drinks reception and then do some photos with just the two of us between the wedding breakfast and the evening do. Hope that helps a little - the wedding planner at my venue was massive help with timings because of course they have a lot more weddings than I do and have a good idea of what works!

Hi, We're getting married at 1:30pm. We actually wanted to change it to 2pm but couldn't so stuck at that.
I'm sure you'll be fine and won't still be eating by the time the evening guests arrive, you'll have enough time for photos meals and general chat afterwards before it all starts I'm sure..not sure of our exact times yet but our co ordinator assured us it'd be fine and give enough time to fit everything in Smiley smile

On the invites I think if you put the ceremony time it'll give guests enough time to get there n get sorted, not 100% sure on that though haven't sorted our invites yet!

Thank you both, that's really helped calm me down. I think I will keep it as 1.30. Cos if I did change it I think I'd then start panicking that guests will get bored with too long a break lol think I'm just picking random things to stress about :-/

    xx
