What to wear when getting ready?

MrsBeckiW, 8 April, 2014 at 17:03 Posted on Planning 0 7

What are you choosing to wear when you are getting ready?

I have gone from tshirts (decided no because they have to go over you head) to onesies, to dressing gowns.

I want to buy them for my bridesmaids & mum as well but even on ebay they seen quite expensive. Has anyone come across any at a good price?

I know that I don't 'need' them but I didn't get t-shirts on my hen do and I when else am I going to get to wear bride branded things?!

I haven't branded them, but I have got my sister and I some fatface PJ bottoms (lovely and comfy & pretty cheap in their Christmas sale) and we will wear vest tops with them. Still have to go over head, but a bigger opening to go over the hair.

I really wanted something labelled "bride" but it looks like it wasn't to be... If you still have time then do it.

I'm getting cheap fleecy dressing gowns or fleecy pyjamas from Primark (need something warm as its a winter wedding) and I have bought the diamante iron on transfers for the back from ebay saying Bride/Bridesmaid etc. It will work out much cheaper than buying them ready done like this. I think the transfers were only £5 for three.

Im thinkin of getting myself and the bridesmaids jogging bottoms and top but with a zip do it doesn't have to go over our heads. They are quite expensive online so was thinking of getting them from primark or somewhere similar and then getting bride and bridesmaids printed on the back myself x

Probably anything that doesn't come off over my head. One point - avoid bras so you don't have any marks when you do get dressed.

I have bought track suits from Mrs Smith Designs (£30) for us all as we are having hair and make up at the hotel were our reception is but we are getting dressed at the ceremony venue so we can travel in them too.

Mrs Smith Designs has all sorts of clothing. I did originally go down the route of fleeces and DIY iron on transfers unfortunately M&S discontinued the fleeces after I had bought two! and there is no primark near me.

I'm having silk robes. Mine pale pink with black piping, the girls black with pale pink piping. No bride on it because I want to wear it after.

I think Primark is the best route to go if you are looking for cheap. Like the others have said you can personalise them yourselves.
