Chanel No 5 will be my smell of the day too. I'm buying some specially for the day, so that each time I smell it after that, it'll remind me of the wedding.
In the words of Marilyn (Monroe)... "Chanel No. 5, of course...". Although I will be going for Coco Chanel Madmoiselle, but close enough!
I might go that as well, although i have run out at the mo but OH picked it for me and really likes it. Either that or Vivienne Westwood Boudoir
Clinique Happy Heart - Its lovely. Ive got the perfume & moisturiser for the wedding and even bought a wee mini one to carry about on the day.
I'm wearing Happy Heart today!
For my wedding, I'll be wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy.
This too. I hope it blends well with Chanel! ?
I must be one of the few people that doesn't like Chanel No 5...it's like old lady smell.
I am in a quandry of what to buy because I want something classic but most of them are rank. I just don't want something that may end up being discontinued (like most of my faves have been!).
One idea is Alliage from Estee Lauder. It's an old 70's/80's perfume but is exclusive to Harrod's now. It reminds me of my mum when I was a little girl and I love it.
I shall smell like a princess.
Courtesy of Vera Wang.?
I'm undecided yet - nothing I smell seems to be special enough for me to want to remember my wedding when I smell it IYSWIM
Also - are you getting your BMs to wear the same fragrance so you don't gas each other when you're all getting ready? When I was BM last year we all got a bottle of the perfume as a Christmas present so even though the house was full of fumes on the morning of the wedding, at least they were all the same fumes and none of us ended up feeling sick from a mixing of perfume smells.
Jean Paul Gaultier's "Classique" because it's H2B's favourite perfume on me. He says it's my scent. I don't wear it unless we go out for special occasions which happens probably once a year.
I'll also smell like Dove Deodorant.
Hmm.. I get what you're saying on this one but I'm not sure I want us all smelling the same - I wanna stand out!!
I will be smelling of Nina Ricci-Nina I love it and so does h2b.
I think I'll wear Insolence by Guerlain, cause I love it. And champagne!
Chanel Chance. My OH chose it and I loved it so had it as a gift for Christmas ready for the wedding!
Snuggle-bum, do you mean the old nina or the new one in the apple bottle? I had the old one when I was 16-many years ago and loved it, it was discontinued and the new one came out which is totally different. I did find an old style one after months of searching online and so do have that but I'm actually thinking of getting something new now so it will always make me think of the wedding.
My friend had "lovely" which i really like but, think I'll be going out sniffing new perfumes nearer the time.
I'll smell like me, and OH like he usually does too.
We have matching Channel perfume for everyday wear ? so we plan to wear those.
I'd like to wear Armani - Diamonds, but I think OH would like me to wear Ralph Lauren - Ralph. It's what I was wearing when we first met, and when I wear it (which is rarely), he always comments on it, and that it reminds him of when he met me.
OR
I might find something new. So, pretty undecided here!
We went shopping for smells (for want of a better word) the day before the wedding so that we both had a new smell that will always remind us of the day. He picked one he liked for me and I chose his. He chose Guci by Guci for me and I chose the new Jean Paul Gaultier for him.
Hadn't even thought about this for me
I have however thought about it for the OH - When we first met he used to wear Gucci Pour Homme II and it reminds me of him - its my favourite smell in the whole world, but at £50 a bottle we have more important things to spend our money on - which is why I bought it for the wedding - included it in the wedding budget lol x
I wear Vera Wang Princess day to day but have stopped wearing it on the run up to the wedding. I love Coco Madomiselle [sp] but I wore it at uni so as much as I love it it makes me think of pints of purple and poor choices of fashion sense.
BUT I quite like Paco Rabanne - One Million and Lady Million so we may go for those but am worried that they may be discontinued in futrue as they seem quite faddy whereas I tend to think of Princess as being more classic??
Im not sure now i'm confused......I have the old apple bottle one its a red apple and now there's a new apple bottle one thats slightly darker in red, its been out at least a year though but i dont know how *old* the old red bottle one is......have i confussed you now?? LOL
Looking it might be Nina L'elixir...!!
I'll be using Ralph Lauren, Romance. Have used it on special occasions for a couple of years now.
Snuggle-bum, you have the new one then. (I know it's a few years old now but the original was very old I had it 15 years ago. )The original was a pale yellow colour in classic type bottles. They kept changing the bottles but stopped making it a few years ago. it was a similar bottle to the L'air du temps. I don't know why they didn't just call the new nina a different name.
