What would you be doing New Years Eve if it was up to you?

I would be in central London and it would involve food, drink and music. An advert for a silent disco on the Cutty Sark looked interesting. Or alternatively abroad somewhere warm!

    A really nice restaurant for a slap up meal with friends followed by cocktails and dancing!

    And then no hassle trying to get home!

    Am gonna be smug and say that I wouldn't change what we're doing, which is watching the Queen's NY speech at 6pm followed by a lovely dinner and drinks at my BIL and SIL's place. It's just me, H, and my two BILs and SIL. It's not NYE without them ?

    Scrooge here. I hate NYE. I hate the inflated prices, I hate being around people who wish you happy new year who you haven't seen you at all in 2014 and I'm boring and don't much like clubbing anymore.

    I have tickets to see a band (free tickets) tonight, but undecided as yet.

    I'd like to be tucked up in a log cabin somewhere snuggled in front of a fire watching films and stuffing my face.

    We did actually look up spending new year at centre parcs next year for our first married NYE and I literally snorted in disgust- £6k one of them cost! No thank you.

    Ooh good one! I'd like to check into a hotel early afternoon, spend a couple of hours chilling out and having spa treatments. Then pre-dinner drinks in swanky hotel bar followed slap up meal and dancing - then to retire back to hotel room (i.e. no puke tube ride home!), I'd like to do all of this with H, my sis and her OH. Unfortunately these kind of things cost an arm and a leg, hence why we are going to local Thai restaurant!

    I don't really give 2 hoots about NYE but I'd be happier if hubby wasn't working nights!

    Decided earlier that staying home with fish and chips, bottle of prosecco, and a game of Risk and an early night Smiley winking would have been ideal but instead were two thirds through our three hour cad journey up to his parents for open house drinks and buffet. Cannae be bothered...Otherwise I liked what we did last year wich was having a tasting dinner with a couple friends at a little restaurant, that was really nice, I'd do that again.

    A bit late to this (no change there!) I would normally be doing this;

    but as I'm still a sickly chap I went to bed and work. Definitely next year.
