Same here - we've organised and decided everything between us, although there has been confirmation from friends and family when we've asked for their opinions, and we haven't majorly disagreed on anything yet.

There are still some things that we haven't completely decided what we want, but that's not via argument, that's simply because we can't make our minds up.

The only thing possibly we'd change was a bigger budget, but then probably the most likely change would have been to invite everyone to the wedding breakfast. But apart from that, we're quite happy with our arrangements and probably wouldn't change much else, to be honest.

I suppose if we had thousands spare we could have booked out the entire venue and perhaps paid for lots of people to stay over, but I don't know whether that would have necessarily been utilised or appreciated sufficiently to make it worthwhile?

    We already have free reign.

If OH had free reign we would have Balloon centrepieces (which I hated!) and a Karoke DJ (Please no!) and a poker table.

The only thing OH has kind of dictated is the colour scheme, due to him wearing his uniform, a vintage theme for example would never have worked and my dusty pinks and purple colour scheme was out - same for my turquiose scheme due to OHs suit being navy and red.

If I had free reign then I'd have booked a horse and carriage - but alas OH doesn't like horses so I'm happy to use our campervan.

And maybe a totally pink colour scheme.....

See this is a tricky one for me... we were actually discussing this last night as I was getting a bit down about not really having things our way. If we had completely free reign, we'd only have invited 100 people, and the evening part would have felt a lot more like OUR WEDDING than a party for my parents.

However, this would have meant not using our venue. It's far, far too big for 100 people but perfect for 210. And I really have fallen in love with our venue! Also, the speeches are in the evening, and I've got my own way on our choice of DJ, so it will still hopefully feel like our wedding even though half the people there will be my parents' (well, my dad's) friends and relatives.

So, on balance, maybe things have worked out for the best.

I do have free reign, OH drew the line at a toastmaster though as he doesn't want all the British Pomp, his Ozzy family would find that a bit too formal.

I would have chosen a different menu- Me and OH wanted the Pork main course but MOB kicked up a fuss about us having Roast Beef!

Also would have had a Fuschia pink theme- but OH wasnt too keen on that idea hehe. x

I would take my imm family and OH family to St Mary's bay in Brixham and have a wedding on the beach as the sun is setting!

But big family and we live in the midlands so not likely! also there is about 100 steap steps down to the beach so would be puffing by the time i got to the bottom :-)

I'd have gone to Vegas and just hired a bar out in the City when we got back. As it is we're spending a lot more money doing something we don't really want to do and it has been a lot of hassle. At least my sisters can go now. Not that they've helped at all ?

Mrs P2B due to licensing laws in this country (and others too I believe) you cannot actually get legally married on any beach....I know this because we wanted the very same thing, though on a beach in North Devon! We have gone for the next best thing and picked a venue that is right next to and has access to it's own private beach and if all goes well with the weather we can get married outside overlooking the sea!

Maybe keep your idea in mind for a blessing with a small group of friends and family for an anniversary!

I wouldn't have had purple as the colour.....I allowed h2b choose the main colour and now I'm fed up of finding purple things (plus I see so many nice dresses for BM's in fuschia pink and flowers which would've been my choice!)

Other than that pretty much doing what we want anyway!
