whats everyone doing for jewellery?

Little.Miss-Scatterbrain, 24 May, 2009 at 15:46 Posted on Planning 0 5

I was thinking of having just a bracelet and some big earings, dont think i want a necklace as my dress has quite a lot of detailing around the neck line.

would love something like this

with a big dangly pair of earings with pearl in them somewhere too but dont know if it would look odd as neither my tiara or dress have any pearls on them. what you think?

I've got a v v cheap versions of that bracelet (Primark!) and i love it.....

Cant comment on what you'd like coz I think it depends on the dress and other accessories etc...

I've got a big diamante brooch on my dress, no beading or anything else so I've opted for pearls. I had a mother of pearl victorian brooch transformed into a pendant and a pearl choker transformed into a bracelet by Mangogems. It will look amazing. Earrings - I do have a pair I can wear tho toying with buying a pair....

i'll miss not wearing a watch though..

    Hiya little miss scatterbrain

I think that bracelet is lovely and i'd be happy to make you a similar one, email me at *********@************************.**.** if you want a quote.

If you are concerned about your dress and tiara not having pearls in why not add a splash of crystals to the bracelet and earrings.

I've got loads of earrings on my website or I could make you something else to go: http://www.allthatsparklesjewellery.co.uk

Let me know if I can help you at all.

Ok so think i have completely lost the plot, never mind that they have the perfect cluster bracelet in accessorize for £12 i went onto the e of bay last night and ordered a whole load of pearls, crystals and a jewellery making kit, going to have a go at making my own, also bought some navy pearly things to make BM's too, probably turn out a disaster but going to give it a go anyway!

Good luck! There are loads of inspiration and how to guides on the internet. I love messing about with beads and stuff though just bought my first pair of jewellery pliers and am enjoying the power I can wield over wire!!!

A friend has organised a jewellery making workshop for us to do for her hen party in September - looks like lots of fun and should develop my skills somewhat.

Anyway in terms of jewellery for me - I don't have my dress or veil or hair decs yet so it will depend on that. Am thinking of wearing a simple pair of medium length earrings my dad bought me a while ago and also a heart shaped necklace with a tiny diamond in that OH bought me on our first Xmas together. I quite fancy a simple pearl bracelet - we shall see!
