What's everyone got planned for today?

spacecadet_99, 21 September, 2008 at 11:09 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 20

It's a gorgeous sunny day in Brum so I think I will sit outside on a lounger, with a cool drink and finish off Pride and Prejudice before starting on the course books for my OU course. Am sadly excited about this as a plan. Nice that the weather is good as MrSC has a friend round to watch the footie so means I can escape outside! Might take the laptop out at some point but think I am self imposing a ban until I have finished P&P. Trying to generally have a relaxing day as tomorrow is going to be a long one at work, our students start tomorrow so I'll be in the office by 8 getting set up and ready for them.

What about the rest of you?

Going out in a minute to run around in the woods with some foam & latex swords and hit other people with foam & latex swords in the name of fun and testing new rules.

Yes, I'm weird. Yes, it's called LARP. Smiley tongue

Not sure yet, Ive had breakfast and pfaffed about a bit this morning, I might take myself off somewhere in the car, beach or countryside, not sure yet, with my camera and see if I can take some half decent shots of something. Mr WT is out playing golf at the mo and Ive got no idea when he will be back (read that as if he will want lunch or not) So Im undecided at the mo, I want to do something outside though to make the most of the sunshine this afternoon.

We had planned to go to Tatton park, take some photos of the civil war reinactment and have a good long walk. However H has woken up with a horrible rash all over his face, and swollen glands so we have scrapped that. He is feeling miserable on the couch and I'm just pottering about doing bits of housework and hoping he isn't contagious!

Christmas puddings are steaming, i've dug over the front borders, mulched them and edged the lawn. mown the lawn, emptied, cleaned and washed down the greenhouse. dug over one of my veg beds and swept the paths.

now i'm going to make some more chutney and pickles and read a book, tonight i'll cook some slow roasted pork.

So far I've watched 2 episodes of dexter, put a washing on and hung it up, run the dishwasher and ironed all my H's polo shirts. I've also vacuumed.

When H gets back from football we will be slobbing out and listening to the football on the radio as sky is broken (sob). Then making a huge roast lamb dinner as my brother is coming to join us after the football.

I might have a look for more jobs on the internet but might just chill out.

I have planned my literacy and numeracy lessons for next week - which have taken me forever because I keep getting distracted by the internet and the mad rabbit running round my feet trying to eat my slippers! Picking H up in an hour from work then not sure what we are doing probably not much as he has been working all night.

Well Ive been outdoors, in the garden to be precise! Ive had a general tidy up, weeding, sorting the leaves out of the flower beds, trimming the grass and deadheading stuff. Its looking altogether more tidy and pleasing to the eye! Ah its been lovely and once I was done I sat out on the lounger for 20 mins with a lovely cold glass of iced elderflower and lemongrass cordial!

Why couldnt we have had more of this through August, its just not fair.

I've been shopping in Watford and then been to a local wedding fair.

For the rest of the afternoon and evening, H will be watching the Ryder Cup so I shall Hitch and watch tv upstairs and give the lounge a wide berth!
