Ours are four little chocolates in a box with ribbons etc. They look nicer than how I've described them!

Kinder surprise - wanted something different but cheap. Should've seen the man in tescos face when we bought them on a deal week - 90+ kinder eggs on a conveyor belt!

I think we're having harbio hearts and rings in little organza bags - OH proposed with a haribo ring and heart so although the sweets are very common they will mean something to us and the idea is to explain their meaning during the speeches.

We're also having navy organza bags filled with dolly mixtures, in homage to my new married surname and OH regularly gets referred to as Dolly

We've got mini jam pots by a local producer, like the ones you get at hotel breakfasts. Chilli jam for the boys and strawberry for the girls. They've got personalised labels on with our names on saying made for the wedding of X and Y. We're attahcing luggage labels so they'll double as place settings. I'm so chuffed and they were less than 50p each!

As all our guests are travelling quite a way to get to our wedding, and spending money on hotels etc, we really wanted to spoil them, and as we are not having a table plan, we have decided to have a favour table.

I am making chocolate truffles, biscuits and mini-cakes in the couple of weeks before the wedding to add to the little pots of jam, soaps and seed packets we have already made...

As you may be able to tell...I love any excuse to make things!

One champagne truffle and one milk chocolate praline truffle in a little white box with black ribbon. We have ordered them from a specialist chocolate and fudge place. I have just got the quote and it is £102 including delivery for 58 boxes. I ordered the samples a couple of months ago and the truffles are amazing.

I'm doing a favour table too - handmade heart soaps, mini bottles of sparkling rose wine, cigars, and we've done CD's as well - which we both picked about 10 songs we love, made playlists, and did half and half of the mixes, so each couple gets one of each!

We're both from the seaside so we're having sticks of rock with the names of the places where we're from through the middle. May have the little sweetie versions rather than actual stick of rock though. Haven't decided yet!

I think it's much better for favours to be actually meaningful to the couple giving them, rather than "giving something for the sake of giving it" if that makes sense?

I think a lot of these ideas are meaningful, they relate to people names, where there from, favourite things etc - as long as they are meaningful to the couple getting married thats all that matters ?

I haven't decided yet, but maybe wildflower/daisies seeds as I am having them as part of my bouquet and table decorations. Maybe with a tag/sticker saying 'sow me' or 'grow the love', or something less cheesy.

We had mint chocolate lollipops which I made in the shape of a daisy as we ended up with a gerbera theme which were tied up with a ribbon and each one had a silver envelope attached with a scratchcard in. The envelope had the guests names on them so they doubled up as place settings.

It's 25 July 2012, AJ. I had a look at all that 'seed paper' out there, but I think I'll go down the DIY route, buy the seeds in bulk and use glassine bags, stickers and ribbons. How long in advance did you bye the seeds?

We are having personalised chocolates, love heart sweets and charity pins (British Heart Foundation & Cancer Research) At least if they get left on the table we know the money went to 2 worthwhile causes.
