I made a lovely bacon, anchovy, garlic, olive and tomato sauce for some wheat free pasta. Sprinkled a load of sharp cheese on the top. Gorgeous! Got the leftovers for my lunch.

Tonight I am going to BBQ some chicken that I have marinating in a hickory sauce, and will make a potato salad (I like to add spring onions and chopped up gherkins to mine), along with home made wedges and home made mayo.

And my final extravaganza this week will be on Wednesday for the book club where I am debating between Chicken Jamaica (roasted chicken on the bottom, covered with partially cooked broccoli, covered with a sauce made from Campbells mushroom soup, mayo, curry powder and thinned with some milk) and topped with cheese and breadcrumbs) or Roast Lamb with all the trimmings.

And for the rest of the week will be bread and water LOL.

Was out for tea last night at a charity do, so had a lovely tomato & mozzarella salad, followed by chicken tarragon and the most gorgeous lemon tart with clotted cream!

Doing chicken with tomato, olives, new potatoes and salad tonight I think......if I can be bothered to move of the sofa!

Yesterday I was at my Mum's for a birthday dinner so had a buffet there (Yum - my favourite!)

Tonight we have a M&S dine in for £10 special: chicken wrapped in bacon with brie and chunky chips followed by chocolate cheesecake served with french cider.

Tuesday: Spinach lasagne and garlic bread

Wednesday: Pork chops with apples (cook in apple juice) and mash

Thursday: Pizza as H is out!

Friday: Salmon 'pie' (salmon with veg and parsley sauce and puff pastry top!) with asparagus

    ?

As most of this is being cooked from scratch I was nearly having kittens walking round the supermarket at how much was going into the trolley! Food / drink bill for the weekd was around the £40 mark which isn't too bad I suppose. Sure I can find ways to get it down even further though...

We are having homemade fish pie tonight, yum!

Macaroni cheese with bacon and mushrooms tomorrow, the kids love my macaroni, although I have to do one half of the dish with mushrooms for me and H and the other half without for the kids.

Not sure about thursday or friday yet, will see what delights Asda has when I go!
