What's making me rant about FB posts this week...

...is a friend (and she really is a good friend) but she's got into bread baking and posts a picture pof everything she makes. "Look, two baguettes and a wholemeal loaf" I'm not sure why this annoys me so much. I think it's just pointless. I DON'T CARE. Its not even a blinkin' cake!

I have both H's sisters on my FB - they do my head in, one is obsessed with her cats (I don't want to know your cat has just barfed over the carpet), cryptic posts ("hmm, Should I or Shouldn't I?") or else deeply unfunny jokes. My other SIL is currently potty training her toddler, so we get delightful posts such as "XXXX has just done a MASSIVE poo in the potty - Good Girl!!" Sometimes the post is complete with a photo to show said poo.

I would unfriend them, but H wouldn't like it.

Stuff it - My cats are all over Facebook as you know, I love seeing yours!

If people don't like posts, they can simply hide them all.. Goes for statuses, photos, etc!

People have different interests, that's life. I do the 366 challenge, I'm sure people get sick of it but I couldn't give a flying banana.

What pees me off most is when people 'like' their own status/post. Yes we know you like it, otherwise you wouldn't have shared it?!

Also there's a girl I work with (so probably can't delete, but soooo tempting!) who is CONSTANTLY posting about her boyfriend
"I've got a cold and wish S was here to cuddle me"
    "I miss S soooo much"
"Love you forever with all might heart"
"You've made me complete since you came into my life"
"Happy 2 month anniversary. Love you"

    Bleurgh! ?

    100% agree!

I tend to find the least tolerant of my FB friends have their own 'thing' that they post frequently about. Each to their own!

I also hate when people like there own statuses!! it drives me nuts !

Also my cousin feels the need to post pictures of everything she owns/buys/gets given , presents etc ! there is folders and folders of naff pictures of slippers and chocolate bars that nan brought her for christmas !! unfortunatly its WAY to much hassle to delete her and facebook wont let me block her posts so im stuck with it !!

My SIL insists on updating us all on everything she does !! for example some statuses from this week :

"Just been to the toilet and it felt good , now for a fag!!"

" i think a cup of tea is needed before jezza kyle , then breakfast , then down the town to get my tea!"

"just in tesco , cant decide between brocoli or califlower , maybe i should just buy both !"

These just do my head in!!!!! who ever said facebook was the route of all evil was quite right !!!

oh dear may i join you in hell???

i don't like it eather! both me and my oh have lost our parents and never has a post in memory graced our status! i just feel its a passive attention seeking way of just saying, feeling a little low today as its the anniversary of my grandads death or whatever.... speaking to a dead person over facebook is just odd, why not just go put some flowers on there grave when ure having a little thought about them??? or has facebook replaced that??

its the same with parents talking to there babys on there annoys me just as much...." can't believe your 4 months old today mummy loves you so much my little soldier" Hmm got a fb profile has he? how about shutting your laptop and playing with him??

So called "Fraping". One of my friends BF finds it funny to log onto her FB and change her status to "Anon loves her BF so much and wants to give him a big cuddle" and other rude words! it really annoys me. Whats the point?!

Has anybody got someone on their facebook who has passed away? I find this a very difficult one, I sadly have two guys I know who have died. I'd feel terrible for deleting them off, but then I see quite a lot of what mutual friends post on on their pages: "Was thinking about you today mate, wanted to buy you a pint. Love you" "Listening to OCS this morning, miss you, love you mate" etc. etc. I just don't see the point in that, I know it's perhaps the only way his friends have of 'talking' to him, but they probably never told him they loved him when he was alive.

Yes! A relative of mine died last week (wasn't close to her) and she was on FB. One of her children is now posting on FB from her account which is very odd. Family members of mine are wailing about her, even though they didn't make any effort to see her in years. Seems like they're trying to out do each other with the grief porn....

Snap. For some reason, it irritates me even more when it's older people saying it.

Some folk live their lives out on FB, why do you ever need to see these people, what would you have to talk about! You know it all already! This annoys me. Also when people "check in" why do that? To me it is an act of showing off. Unless it's somewhere really interesting, not the local pub!

I've mentioned it before but there's a girl who refers to her best mate as "shoe" (copying those Essex girls from XFactor). I find it really cringey.

I hate the word "frape". Just makes me so angry to see people taking something as vile as rape and subverting it to refer to something as idiotic as someone else posting on your facebook account. It's not even anywhere near the same level of violation. Rawr.

BB - try sending this to the people posting about strawberry whatever: https://www.thatsnonsense.com/view.php?id=1506

I have a friend like this too! She's a size 6-8, super toned and has killer abs and every FB update is about how fat she is, or how she ate a bit of cake and needs to smash it at the gym... FFS hush up woman.

I can't deal with people referring to themselves in the third person.

Example - Little Lucy is tired! Mrs Brown has had a looooong day peeps.

    No. Just no.

    And I hate 'frape'.

I think some people forget who there friends with !! my sister puts some really nasty stuff on her statuses and shes friends with all our elderly relatives !! i cringe at alot of them! I do also think alot of people are so open which isnt always a bad thing but when you hear people talking about how badly they tore whilst giving birth ,you just think thats way too much info!!! Sadly a friend of mine went into labour way too early and that baby was still born when she came home she put pictures of the baby on facebook and i think it was not the place for them as the baby wasnt fully formed plus its a private personal subject !

I have to say, I could never object to people putting photos up of angel babies. It must be such a heartbreaking thing to go through anyway, to then feel censored from showing the only mementos you have of your baby must add insult to injury. I've felt honoured when friends whose babies have passed have chosen to share those precious few images.
