What's on your Christmas list?

Holey, 2 December, 2014 at 12:27 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 32

I know we are all adults but what are you coveting for Christmas this year?

Bonus points for flashes and frivolity!

I've just asked for a few little things like DVDs and stuff.

I got my fabulous Babyliss Curl Secret for my birthday 5 weeks ago so there's not much I want really, other than money to get a tattoo and no one in our family every gives money for Christmas!

Nothing big this year. As the wedding is so close H2B set a £50 limit for each other, and I think my parents have just picked stuff off my Amazon wishlist. It's my 40th birthday 3wks after Christmas (on our wedding day) so I think my parents are getting me a watch, but I dunno about H2B.

I've just asked for small stuff really, a few books and DVDs are on my list, and some spangly make-up from my mum cos she likes to buy me something girly each year. H2B and I have agreed to spend minimal amounts on present(s) for each other, we already have way too much stuff in our little house, and we're going to spend the money on a better Christmas instead - nicer Christmas dinner, some new decorations, that sort of thing.

    Very good so far!

Mrs Shep - Love the bracelet

Bekkijane - That snowflake charm is so lovely

ER - LOVE those shoes! I'm always looking on the Irregular Choice website but am yet to buy any. I love the new red sparkly ones on there and the ones with the rabbit heel. Might have to invest!

    Keep them coming everyone!

Haven't asked for anything but I LOVE these! Sadly we have far too many radios in our teeny flat already so can't justify another!

I desperately need a new coat (& have dropped lots of hints!) but the lovely duffle that I've had my eye on has sold out -was similar to this one.

Some great flashes on here! Love the Pandora charms and the duffel coat in particular.

I'm on my phone so can't flash but I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas and I know I'm getting it as it was delivered today and there's a picture of it on the outside of the box - oops!! Other than that I've not really asked for anything, the wedding is 2 days before and I can never think if anything at the best of times!

I've asked for the Clinique 3-step face wash stuff and sonic brush, benefit "theyre real" eyeliner and mascara, and a decent set of makeup brushes from my family. basically stuff i can't justify spending money on that will make me feel like a proper grown up and hopefully make my skin prettier for the wedding Smiley smile

don't want h2b to spend too much, so have instructed him to go to the amber jewellery stall at the Xmas market and buy me something pretty - he has great taste in jewellery Smiley smile

I've been umming and aahing about the fluffy tail version of these! What is the sizing like on irregular choice? Do they come up small/big/true to size?

They've got some amazing red glittery ones on the website but they are out of stock ☹️

I find they are different depending on the style. I have wide feet, and the daisy dayz and shoe boot styles are ok, but some of the others have come up very tight. Pop into schuh and try a few on, then you'll know for ordering. They're just so much fun, even if they're not all that practical! Some of them can be seriously high too, the fluffy tail ones say a heel height of 12cm with a platform of 2. Smiley smile I have a cupboard dedicated to IC!

Peace and quiet!!!! It's going to be a stressful few weeks and I think I;m just going to want to hibernate.

But also secretly a new iPad - I'm very attached to my version 1 but they've stopped making updates for it so it's now effectively an expensive paperweight. Having splashed out on a Swiss watch as joint wedding/ christmas pressie for His Nibs, it's even possible I might get one.

Oh Soybean - my parents went nuts one year and bought me n OH a KitchenAid - theyre so beautiful!!

Id like money towards a Clarisonic face n body brush...otherwise I'm not fussed...some nice loungewear would be good, i keep wearing the same ratty old fleecy joggy bottoms and pulled old pink jumper or my PJs - lucky old H2B! but I dont like getting changed into jeans for some reason of an evening after work, I wanna be comfy, but still look nice! And because Im getting old Id like a checked cushion from voyage maison or another birdy one...something like

and between us we'd quite like some money towards a new coffee table: poss this from john lewis

Im sorted for the few people I have to buy for now too which is good! I was struggling with OH, I wanted to have a £30 limit, he said that was fine for me to get him something but he didnt want a limit so now we dont have one, but its okay cus Ive now got him a pasta making class (complete with dinner and dessert) an italian cookbook, gonna get him a nice bottle of Barolo and some italian foody stuff - lord knows what - panatonne? pasta flour? - in view of our upcoming Italian honeymoon...although I have realsied today all those presents are things I can also do/eat/drink/read so I really want to get him something for just him but am stuck there...

PS I am LOVING the irregular choice heels - so cute! I saw some shoes in Solihull about a month back and wanted them so badly - they were kind of velvet black suedey material with cat ears and whiskers on them...kind find anything exactly like them now but a bit like these with less face features but they were so high I couldnt have justified itSmiley sad

I haven't really got much of a list this year, I really really want a fluffy white knee length bath robe I LOVE this one from Topshop and well to be honest that's it!!! (SIL if your reading Smiley winking I think your brother needs further hints) hehe!!

I do really want a steam cleaner mop for the house but if H2B gets me one of these for Christmas id be likely to wrap it round his neck, not that im ungrateful but a steam cleaner mop for Christmas doesn't scream hohoho to me!!

    ❤️

A new job/winning lottery ticket/for the endo to just do one for good.

Ok, sulky "woe is me" moment over. I've asked OH for a dress by Infanta, and I've dropped some heavy hints to my parents etc for some books on Shintoism or the Japanese Tea Ceremony.
